Its so sad that my only impression of him was skewed by comedy like waynes world and cynics like my father. He is truly inspirational.

I do admire Kenny G's conversational simplicity, humility and self-confidence herein❤️
Perhaps the most famous and financially successful Pop-RnB instrumentalist is the G-man of his time.
Of their era, so also were Fausto Papetti and John "Ace" Cannon, as well as King Curtis and Junior Walker.
They took the fame, success and money by going exclusively commercial: Pop, RnB, and Gospel (Ace Cannon) ... Pop, RnB, Rock, Soul, Funk ... (King Curtis & JuniorWalker)
In fact, King Curtis abandoned his Jazz exploits to make money by going for the money via Pop, RnB, Rock, Soul, Smooth, Cool - non-Jazz.
Want to be known, to be famous, to sell records and to become rich?
Well, play Pop, RnB, Rock - - - neither European nor African Classical Music (Organic Jazz)!
Rappers are the "smartest"; they are the money makers; aren't they?

A year before this interview, I had a front row seat and held my hands up to play along with Kenny. He took novice and invited me backstage to talk to him for about a half hour! 27 years later, I got to play my horn for him! th-cam.com/video/sC_7jw-SUcM/w-d-xo.html
