Wow I gotta look a long time on YT to find someone who can play that smoothly. All while just improvising. You play my guitar language. Glad you’re getting a bit of the recognition you deserve sir.
So glad Uncle Larry “introduced” me to you! You’re coaxing some syrupy goodness out of that git-fiddle. Thanks for sharing the beauty with a world that so desperately needs it.
I lived in Nashville for 15 years... absolutely loved fall... But even from the other side of the planet I'm loving your posts man, really appreciate the way you share your gifts with us... Thanks!
Beautiful stuff mate, soulful and so, so smooth - sounds like Endless Summer! Can hear the thousands of hours of hard work in every note. Well done again…cracks tube. Cracking concert the other night - watched vicariously from Costa Rica. Thanks again.🍻
Driving surf beat under the lyrics..."Surfin' at Doheny you can really cut your weenie -- on the rock". Is that a refin reissue with the Alnico neck pickup? Sweet mellow sound...
Mr Jedd, what a treat it was to hear you three together at Brett's. Just watching the friendship that was feeding all the great jammin' tells us more about great music than just the chops (which all three of you have in bucket loads). The three of you are breathing life into the instrumental guitar genre, then mix in your excellent song-writing/singing, you get some great, real music.
I love surf music so much. The first song I ever learned was walk don’t run. Still never get tired of playing that 28 years later. The power of a good melody is a timeless thing!
@@The-Real-Blissful-Ignorance yeah they’re good! I do like them! I tend to mainly listen to the Ventures the most however since their melodies are just so catchy and infectious. They’re my favorites. Sounding great today! Been quite sick with covid for the past few days, so a video is great to see today! Enjoyed the Brett Papa video. I always enjoy how your solos always contain note choices and little phrases that go somewhere other than where my ear is expecting.
The Bret Papa video that was released was wonderful, I look forward to more. Also, if you guys keep gigging there in Nashville, One of these times I'm gonna have to plan a road trip. Thanks for the video.
Just watched the Brett Pappa vid with you Larry and Guthrie. Subbing. The four of you represent everything I aspire for in guitar (as well as Trumpet), and the overall spirit behind it all. Thanks for the mastery of your craft.
I thought your intro reminded me of the sound track to Endless Summer! It was a great film. Also, back in the early 1990's I used to listen religiously on Friday nights to a Grateful Dead program called Thursday Lunch. Anyhow, they frequently played commercials and ads from the 60s, including for Endless Summer. Thanks Jedd for showing how to play that! Also, Thanks to you and the boys for the music recorded at Brett Papa's!
Sweet playing on that Les Paul! Definitely catching some waves. I enjoyed the livestream of the Three Amigos at Brett Papa's, going to go watch the shiny, edited version. It was a lot of fun. I have (and use) the Prime Tone picks, I think the 1mm ones. I really like them. Second to the Blue Chip pick I got a few years back. Be good to you and take care- Thank you
I've seen The Endless Summer at least 50 times, if not more, and often play it in the background while working. I love the narration so much, almost as much as I love to listen to Alby Mangels voice. That movie was a huge inspiration for me moving to Maui for almost a decade. Just picked up a ticket for the show. Super pumped!
Ah yes, that is so sweet, dude. Cool guitar too! Les Paul Custom with P90s? I've never seen that one before. What year is it? Love to watch surfing also & that music is classic Americana. What a great vibe.

I was telling Brett that the three of you guys are monster players but when you guys played that I-II7-IV-V progression, your solo was absolute butter. To see Tom and Guthrie just start cracking up when you started that solo just shows the powerful emotion that comes from playing beautiful music. Thanks Jedd
Given you, Tom, and Guthrie have fans around the world, any chance you'll also do a livestream of The Basement show? Even as you want it to be about the music, livestream creates alternative revenue, while also enabling more people to be part of the magic, helping to lift and maintain the vibe.
