Which part of the swamp are you operating? I’m in Louisiana. Permethrin works very well on clothing, deet free repel on skin.

If I can't go anywhere significant I'll just road march for time with a weighted pack. 30min in, 30min out.
Usually come in right at four miles. 45-60lbs depending on the intensity week.
Have gotten weird looks (and followed by some old guy in a golf cart) but whatever.

Sounds like you might should invest in a canoe or john boat so you can get around your area of operation

Sorry to hear about your foot, pal. That sucks. I was looking forward to your death march with the Helikon pack. I have a lot to say about those packs but Im waiting to get into winter to unload about it. Suffice to say, they are extremely underrated. Did you ever get to making a Holster? Anyhow good to see you. Hope you mend up fast..

@Ivarr.Bergmann.Alaska I was looking forward to my suffering on that death march lol but yes the bergen is such a fantastic pack and even tho I haven't had much time under it lately it's still that "sweet spot" of a pack for me. Holster project has taken a back seat tho other house projects came up but that's how life goes. Thanks again friend hopefully things are going good up there for you. Shouldn't be much longer and snow will be hitting you?

@Ivarr.Bergmann.Alaska will do, I could sure go for some autumn weather down here tho the mosquitoes are absolutely vicious right now, enough to drive anyone crazy
