What you guys failed to catch was that back in 2007, the baboon runner who told BoJack that "it gets easier when you do it everyday" had his own partner to run with, which, given their similar age, appears to be his wife. Now he runs alone. The implication there is huge and is one of those things you appreciate more about the show the more you watch it.
I like that, just reminding you that their are other lives beside the ones we see and interact and we may never fully know it but we can still appreciate it.
I think when he said to BoJack it gets easier I think it was more than just the running it was about dealing with the death of this person presumed to be his wife.
en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Michael_Vick "Vick's NFL career came to a halt in 2007 after he pleaded guilty for his involvement in a dog fighting ring and spent 21 months in federal prison. His arrest and subsequent conviction garnered Vick notoriety with the general public, which lasted throughout the rest of his career." LMAO
I’ve heard a lot of jokes about how disappointing it was when The Sopranos ended with a cut to black. If word ever gets out that Todd Chavez is to blame, then I foresee a huge, ridiculous man-hunt happening.
A lot of people don't understand the ending, when i saw the finale my reaction was "huh?", but then i read about the meaning of the cut to black and it's just brilliant, the only ending that can give them a run for their money is breaking bad
2007 was 7 years before 2014 when the show started. So that means if Tod is like, old enough to be kicked out, which is 18 in the states, that means that he can't be younger than 1996. So if you add in 7 years, that's anywhere from 1989-1991. Making him 16 or 17, how fucking much did you Toddamn pay attention to Todd?
I only just realized that the guy didn't say "this is going to be as _good_ as horsin' around," he said it could be as _big_ as horsin' around. Bojack wasn't afraid of making another boring piece of shit show, he was afraid of being seen in general, and subconsciously self-sabotaged the show. Bojack in 2016 craves that attention but 2007 Bojack was terrified of it. 2007 Bojack lives in the past, 2016 Bojack lives in the future.
Pure Punjabi lol nice shirt Suraj! This ep felt weird to me because 2007 feels like it just happened but at the same time it feels like it was forever ago... I can't figure it out. Maybe we all just imagined 2007 and it was never a thing lmao
oh god i realized something, the lady who runs with the other guy (in the intro) is his wife, we dont see her on the "Present" because she passed away and he runs to cope with the lost
The shark in the tank is an art reference to Damien Hirst - 2007 (who would use animals in glass boxes encased in formaldehyde as life sized installations to walk around in an art gallery. Basically having scientific specimens of extremely large creatures (sharks cows etc ) - some of which would be whole and others which would have been frozen then bisected then encased - allowing for individuals to walk essentially between an animal which had been sliced in half and allowing them to look at the insides of an animal. This included baby animals like baby cows. One I believe was mother&child showing two cows sliced in half. While regarded as sort of a genius in the 1990- 2000’s because the style of displaying an animal creature related to historic German art galleries (which often had examples of dead animals displayed amongst artworks and paintings) (his artwork having a floor next to famous paintings reconceptualized interactive sculptures/installations for the time as prior to his works it was rarely seen) (also the interactive way of walking around the artwork and looking at animals/trade) (mostly because of the 1980-1990s animal rights acts there wasn’t a lot of let’s butcher and display more so let’s start a charity for any and all animals especially endangered PETA would also go a little ham during the early 2000s but get a ton of public backlash. So it was a perfect storm where he could produce these works and display them without peta being able to say or do shit because peta was being ignored by the public/causing public outcry. He would later be canceled after his work in 2007 for using human shaped skulls covered in crystals (which everyone agreed was extremely similar to Sugar Skulls without him acknowledging the cultural significance or his relationship to that culture: it fit his motif of here is a dead body which everyone is ogling and adoring and the fact that the skull would need to be cleaned/cared for - it’s human shape asking what if you were a display item too-- yet also an intense level of cultural appropriation where the sugar skull was made to be expensive and unobtainable no longer a human skull with a name just money and shiny and expensive sold off to some billionaire. He faced a multitude of legal action and cases which sort of knock him out of his spotlight and got a lot of his deals canceled I think he was only able to get away making art in London/Europe afterwards as most of American museums would blacklist him from appearing or remove his installations. I remember people talking about Hirst like he was some genius Warhol/pollock type artist making it really really big (he’s gonna be in every museum with these large scale works) only for 2007 to hit and his entire reputation being well Tanked. From what I know he mostly does abstract paintings and stuff now where Disney hired him to make them a painting and he created an abstracted Mickey Mouse making £902,500 which was donated to a Children’s Charity He broke a world record for Lullaby Spring in June 2007, when a 3-metre-wide steel cabinet with 6,136 pills sold for 19.2 million dollars to Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa Al-Thani, the Emir of Qatar. So making artworks that sold from 19 million to only 900,000$ for a charity event - you can clearly see the drop in appeal…
HD DVD was doomed to fail from the name alone, there are just way too many letters and it's very uncomfortable to say in a casual conversation. Bluray is short, memorable, easy to say and IMO sounds pretty cool.
I never bought and HDDVD player, but I did have an Xbox 360 which I think supported the media? Also one movie that included an HDDVD copy along with my DVD, only because they were out of regular copies at the store. It was Russell Crowe's Robin Hood. It wasn't that bad. MUCH better than the recent one.
Man I'd love to se your reactions to Season 5 starting with Episode 1 reaction shortly after the show releases. Like a few weeks or something. :) To get more normal peopel to catch up, I'll binge it right away!! :D Also to the trailers of Season 5. :D .. ut you then got some catching up to do. I def would not mind more episodes a week!!
You guys should react to Its always sunny in Philadelphia as with this new season it becomes the longest-running live action sitcom. Also its hilarious.

The Sopranos cut joke made me lost my shit xD
Diane's last name is Nguyen. She is Vietnamese-American.
I wonder why its so common lmao

@@dark3rthanshadows I can agree with that.
Todd is probably 15 or 16 at the time

That's the sound of a guy who has either never thought about doing it until that moment, or a guy who has done that very recently.

Actually I’m starting to wonder if the writer’s strike also had a role in the show’s demise?
