Frasier is one of the few shows where I find myself laughing histerically continuously! Niles and Frasier's comedic genius is fantastic! It's 2017 and I still binge watch it nightly! 🤣🤣🤣
Niles had some great almost-slapstick moments during this series. David Hyde Pierce is gifted at physical comedy. The ironing scene in Frazier's living room was an instant classic!
I just love David Hyde Pierce. The best fact about him is that he was nominated Best Supporting Actor during the entire run of Frasier. The only other actor that impressive is James Gandolfini.
Niles's ancient resentments emerging at 2:20 are stratospheric in their subtle genius. They add so much poignancy and detail to these brilliant characters.
Frasier: "Niles, the beds were identical. Oh, why am I even bother explaining this to a man who has his elbow in the butter?!" Niles: "Well, who's hallucinationing now?"
This was a brilliant bit -- I mean, obviously Niles's reaction to his pills steals the show, but Fraiser's coffee-induced twitchiness is great too for its subtle addition to the scene.
I have watched Frasier reruns on tv every night during this Pandemic. Laughing from this show has gotten me through the past year. Excellent writers, actors, casting & costume design colors!
@@marsdenmullac9664 Frasier: "No. No, it's fine." Waiter: "Can I get you something to drink?" Frasier: "No thank you. Oh, well yes. Some Coffee. Decaf." Niles: "I'd like a cup of... s-tea sounds nice." David Hyde Pierce kills me.
And what I love about this comment is the part "Every time I Google...", as if always once in a while you check on parchment mite allergy. It's great :D
Niles has been taking meds and Fraiser has been drinking loads of coffee, so they are behaving differently. That is what makes the episode funny. They don't normally behave this way.
I can't tell you how many times I have seen this scene, yet I still utter "oh noooooo" through my chuckles and laughing tears every single time. So very well performed. Just brilliant.
Frasier: "Well now you're just hallucinating." Niles: "Oh, when we moved to Wallce Lane. And we shared a room and you got to pick where you would be having your ...sleeping... (snorts)"
I love the fact that they give the audience credit for understanding the terms and the references which makes it that much better to watch. Best series ever.
My wife and I saw this again last night after so many years, and we believe this to be the funniest moment ever next to the Jewish Mother finding Niles dressed as Jesus holding the Christmas tree in the guest bathroom!! LOL!!!!
My favorite is when they do the radio mystery and Niles has to do like 5 characters, but this and that one are also gems. And the Platinum Door one where they're at the spa and Niles is wrapped like a mummy. :D
One of my favorite hysterical episode is the Holloween Party when Nile's actually thinks Frasier is the father of Daphne's non existent child.. What a confused mess!!! Love it
Niles: "That's exactly what you'd like for me to be happening!" Frasier: "What did you just say?" Niles: "Well, if you didn't repeat it the first time, I'm not going to listen to it." Bwahaha!!! :)
Frasier: "Niles, Niles. That medication, it's affecting your speech. You've just taken a second dose of it. For God Sake's, your make a fool out yourself." Niles: "Well, you should talk. Look at your shaky hands and your twitchy eyes. (Gasp), You were up all night drinking coffee all night last, weren't you?" Hahahahahahahahahahahaha!!!!!!! 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Gosh the writing is so good, but the physical comedy thrown in just makes it perfect. It's so hilarious to see two pretentious but lovable snobs bumbling around like idiots. DHP makes me laugh out loud every time.
I just Love Niles 💜 Kelsey Grammer & the entire rest of the cast were all exceptional, but David Hyde Pierce was so perfectly cast for his part that I couldn't begin to see another actor in that role. I read that, initially, his role was written smaller; there was such a tremendous response to him it was rewritten to accommodate more dialogue for Niles.
Shoot, in the original series concept, Frasier HAD no brother! There's more on the why DHP was chosen for the show, but you'll have to search for it yourself.
Sometimes i think my favourite girl is Roz . Sometimes i think it's Daphne. Sometimes i think my favourite guy is Frasier, sometimes i think it's Niles, sometimes i think it's Martin. Sometimes i think it's Eddie...
These two guys are just awesome !!! Love them both !!! Remind me of a real family; loving and competing at the same time. Triggered by the mother, I guess or just plain nature. Lovely !!!
Notice how Niles is pulling on his ear from the very beginning of the scene when he asks Frasier "Sleep well last night?", and then it just escalates from there. 😄 While Niles is falling off the table, he sings out a little "wheeeeee," like a kid on a roller coaster ride. 😄 Frasier introduces him in his most serious voice "Allow me to introduce Dr. Niles Krane" as if he's hoping they won't notice Niles is laid out on the floor. Then Niles bursts out with a sneeze & raises his hand for a handshake - you never saw him put his hand over his mouth to cover the sneeze, but you just know he did. 😂 Genius!
My favorite thing about frasier is if I were to meet someone like the crane brothers in real life I would despise them so much. But its so funny since its not my life. I'm usually wheezing when I watch this show no matter how many times I've seen it. My parents and I are constantly quoting fraiser and cheers.
How can those actors in the background keep a straight face. What sheer will power they must have. This was one of the most funniest scenes in the entire show... jajaja
*Niles, why don't you just go home and go to bed?!* "That's exactly what you'd like for me to be happening!" *What did you just say?* "Well, if you didn't repeat it the first time, I'm not gonna listen to it." 😂😂🙏 they don't make like them this anymore. They didn't then either... One off a kind show.
David Hyde Pierce is incredibly funny, my favorite two episodes are the one where Niles starts ironing his slacks at Frazier's and ends up setting the room on fire. The other favorite was where he and Frazier tried to get rid of the dead seal out doors at the hoity-toity party in the beach house and it got all tangled up in the negligee and all the guests saw it. Where is David Hyde Pierce now??
Absolutely the best comedy of the 90s. “Friends” couldn’t hold a candle to Frasier’s witty genius.
friends makes me chuckle, fraiser has my jaw on the floor hahaha
No the same kind of show. Curious why ppl keep comparing them.
@SamIAm chandler's improvisation and Ross's voice acting was the only thing that kept me remotely engaged with friends.
I LOVE both 💗💗💗
Friends is trash lol
"Parchment mite allergy" 😂🤣 I love this show so much.
I know, it’s the best, look at him scratching his ear like a dog😂😂😂
Pierce did a masterful job at seamlessly shifting from Niles' regular personality into Niles on drugs, absolutely brilliant, gets me every time.
David Hyde Pierce is a brilliant physical actor. The way he takes that slide off the table at the end😅
LeeBee 1885 ...and he tops it up with the sneeze and attempted handshake 😂😂😂😂
Wheeeeee!
He’s a fantastic actor. His mannerisms and timing are spot on.

Niles had some great almost-slapstick moments during this series. David Hyde Pierce is gifted at physical comedy. The ironing scene in Frazier's living room was an instant classic!
That was like a classic silent movie. Amazing!

He's like...a proto-Neil Patrick Harris. Classy, great actor, lovely singing voice, it's all beautiful.
Yet he didnt really star in anything else after fraiser did he?
This show presented a superb mix of high brow humor and physical comedy.
Frasier and Niles,, one of the best tv comic duos of all time.

You're wrong: he's an international treasure

My favourite part is when Niles hand shoots up from under the table to shake the doctors hand,😂
In terms of syndication and modern day popularity, Frasier is criminally underrated.
"Well, who's 'hallucinationing' now?" 😆
Such a fantastic scene.. made me giggle !! The way Niles flaps at his ear... so cute.
High Niles is amazing.
I love how Niles just stares in distance after dropping on the floor 😂
I love the moment where he swallows the pills, sneezes them back up, then immediately swallows them again :D

I cried laughing from how relatable and un-germaphobic that was for Niles to do
Lillian Indeed. That’s when you KNOW those pills got to his head.

Fraiser. Best show ever from the 90s
TheCrazychick07 it's No. 2 to Seinfeld, but it's very close :)
Frasier > All
Cerebral and physical humor at the same time!
We all suspect we're the Frasier in our sibling relationships but in reality...we're the Niles.
I mean, I have an older brother who's 9 years older then me. So I guess I am the oaf Niles.
It would be nicer that way, not having to face the embarrassment completely conscious.
That was kind of a stupid comment. Half the people would be the Frasier.
