For the manual gearing, it's not in the option menu, but in the difficulty settings on the main menu. It gives you the choice between semi automatic (default), automatic and manual.
@@Issam-od4pg The last tdu was released 13 years ago. Surely we have advanced in game development since then. The fact theres literally 0 customization is dissapointing.

Or how about selecting sports seats in certain models? Not to mention the numerous car tuning manufacturers catered towards rich people and their cars, like Gemballa, TechArt, Mansory or Novitec.

I entered the car/racing game genre since the start of the original crew. As great as that game was it had problems, too arcade-y being the proprietary one. Quite quickly got Forza and the physics in that game were unmatched hence ruining the arcade racing games for me. I was hoping for solar crown to be more simulation aimed than arcade-y ie more like Forza than the crew 2 and NFS.
@@kak8895 In the sense that when you are driving a RWD car, you clearly feel that the power goes to the rear wheels. And you feel the torque steer in a FWD car when you launch. Traction control has a noticeable effect. If you are in a car that’s supercharged or turbocharged you notice how that affects power delivery (admittedly the turbo noises are somewhat too over the top). With games from The Crew franchise or indeed NFS you don’t get these distinct attributes. I would like to reiterate that I played the original crew when it first came out and I loved that game (very upset with what they’ve done to it). But the driving physics are more realistic in Forza Horizon games and not arcade like as is the case with Crew and NFS.

watching Scott put a responsive turbo on a mustang that already got high torque instead of better shocks and brakes is crazy
it’s a scripted demo moment
Tbf it is the only thing you can do at that point 😂shocks and brakes unlock at level 10 as mentioned in the video
Looks a lot like an early ps4 game right now but I won't loose hope. I have waited about 12 years for it after all
Tried it myself and ended up uninstalling. Keep getting server errors since it’s always online and couldn’t get it to look good in ultra settings while using an ultrawide.
The handling is okay but it’s impossible to use true manual gearing. It’s always semi automatic with the car shifting when you want, often leading to double shifts when the car and I do it at the same time.
It’s just not up to scratch. And that’s before you start talking about how most of the cars are 8-10 years old. They’ve got nothing new. But disappointment.
For the manual gearing, it's not in the option menu, but in the difficulty settings on the main menu. It gives you the choice between semi automatic (default), automatic and manual.
So there’s only 3 cosmetic options you can change???
Just like every other tdu why so surprised
@@Issam-od4pg The last tdu was released 13 years ago. Surely we have advanced in game development since then. The fact theres literally 0 customization is dissapointing.
@@Supraifyification You know what came out around the same time as tdu 1? Need for speed underground 2. A game with a ton of customization. And how much of that did tdu 1 have? None. I loved it and i bet you did too because the game was never about the cars themselves it was about the lifestyle and the experience of exploring an enormous map online with other players.
@@Issam-od4pg Ironically enough this has literally zero "lifestyle" elements nor does it have an enormous map. This game literally has less things to do than the original almost 20 year old game. Everything is in one single hotel lobby and the map is miniscule.
@@Issam-od4pg You are wrong, TDU was about the cars. And the lifestyle. Besides, more customization doesnt mean neons, or big spoiler or anything like that. How about optioning carbon ceramics on certain cars? Or choose if you want a manual or automatic, and the car interior changing depending on your choice. Or how about selecting sports seats in certain models?
Not to mention the numerous car tuning manufacturers catered towards rich people and their cars, like Gemballa, TechArt, Mansory or Novitec.
The steering wheel should be on the right in Hong Kong, which would be great!
why always freeroaming racing games has no people in the town only cars and cars
No pedestrians🤨 the map looks so dead
all of the starter cars are to modern for me.
I want a sh** box as a starter car….
hard to license shitbox cars for these sort of games because manufacturers don’t want their car to be the shitbox one
@@michaeljamesm haha true
Forza Horizon: how have you NOT added the "blinker/windows/wipers" ability yet??? lol get with the times man! TDU, LET'S GO!
TDU SOLAR CROWN DEMO looks like Asphalt 8 but on PS5.
The real world location of the Italian cars dealership (or near it) actually has a number of car dealerships around it. Had, not sure if it still does.
Downloading now but not sure how well it will run on my old computer. Would be better if I could download demo on my PS5 instead which is where I will be purchasing it.
Anyhow, if I'll just get some feel for the game at least then it's a good thing. More devs should do it like this and start adding demos again because it helps both the player and the devs right back through feedback. It's a win win.
This game better be a sim racer cmonnn who wants arcade in this day and AGE
It's not a sim unfortunately
Arcade is king m8
@@f.o.8547 if ur on controller m8, once you have a wheel theres no going back from sim
Same
What you mean? Horizon is also an arcade game.
It’s online only ?
welcome to 2024
Looks like tdu2 mod 😅
Plays like it too. I give up with all hope gone..
Hardly test drive vibe..
Why does Vivian look like Miami Harris
This game is a fucking joke. Look at the handling of the car and the wheel animation 😂
demo or not it looks like a major let down!
The engine sounds are better than Forza. But other than that, not sure, not havIng houses is a big mistake. Will finish the demo and then we ll see if it s a revisit later or not worth it at all.
Reflections in the rearview mirror look like in the nfs most wanted 2005.
Not going to get it unless it goes on sale or they fix some stuff
They say we must not compare it to Forza but how can we not when it looks and feels so similar.
Outdated engine. Nfs heat looks better.
Driveclub still destroy this TDU game in graphics... Sadly...
The mustang idling sound is 🤌
Damn, they did it! TDU 2 looks a lot more fun... how is that possible?
Passion...
This is not Test Drive.. This is Need for Speed: The Forza Crew
Clicks a link, goes back to 1999 - and not in a good way.
There's no exterior customization (body kits etc.) 😢 also, the cars look like they're floating..
And it's always online?? No thanks.
So we're in 2024 but game seems it came out in 2012?
Aww yeah. Let's go 🎉👏
I hope you feel better soon Scott video awesome
No manual option?
This game Is also played single player with a stable internet connection?
Looks like an og Ps4 game. Looks like The Crew the Steering is very bad for 2024 game overall i think i just might skip even if its a Demo. What they all need to change before the release its just not gone happen unless they delay it witch would sound better then releasing this tbh. We have Unreal Engine 5 rn this is what we are getting a 2020 game that looks just overall bad.
I can't understand why the reflections aren't in real time.. TDU 2 from 2011 was..
Why am i most curious about them "parking lane" neon sign things?
Nothing happens when you park there
No vehicle specific gauges lol
The buildings have Sleeping Dogs graphics.
Sleeping dogs better
Its look like lego lol
THEY NEED TO MAKE IT OFFLINE. REMOVE THE ONLINE ONLY REQUIREMENT
it’s gonna be offline once support gets dropped in a year or two.
I used to love tdu1 & 2 on the 360 and it kills me to say this game looks garbage. I’m not sure Hong Kong was the right setting. Tdu used to be all about that “driving in paradise” feeling. This looks like a daily commute…
So you can race AI and without online sinc we could have much denser traffic. Why not make a Play Solo mode? PvP should be an option. This will only hurt the game.
Did they use the TDU 1 engine to make this game? I just tried the demo and playing on ultra the whole thing looks a mess and plays even worse. Why did it take so long to make this?
I can't look at this tragic steering wheel animation
Please do search for a wreck part. I'd really like to know what some of the wrecks are
Npcs are too scarce. They beed to increase them significantly
2010 called they want thier game back
Looks outdated.
