When he dug this up we knew we were heading for some good finds

It all started out with following the old rock wall of this old deserted New England farm. People lived here from the 1700s into the 1800s then it was abandoned like many of the old colonial homesteads. Metal detecting and relic hunting is what we are doing with the Teknetics T2 and G2+ detectors and digging all the signals we here. Running the large 12 inch search coil today I was digging up relics , buttons and other pieces at least 10 inch down which is great. Waynos found a fantastic find today with an old iron stirrup which we don't see too may come out of the ground. We explored and read the landscape history as we went today and not even being near a cellar hole today we did great. So much of this is long overgrown fields and pastures were people were working and farming hundreds of years ago.
