Jon Robyns knows his vocal ranges and uses them -well-. He's got the experience! If you ever get to see him live, you can see how much work he puts into his character. Jon himself is the most sweetest person I have ever met at stage door.
Jon Robyns is phenomenal, one of the best Phantoms I've seen in yesrs and his final lair just blows you away in person. Absolute emotional rollercoaster 🖤
Thank you so much for sharing! I saw the musical last wednesday and loved every minute of it! Can you upload more of these videos with lily kerhoas if you have those please? 🤩
Whereas the original production used the original 27-piece orchestration, the 2021 revival now only uses the 2011 tour orchestration with 14 instruments. Among other things, there are only 3 instead of 7 violins, the harp, timpani and the former 2 trumpets are completely missing and have been replaced by keyboard files.
@@peteraschaffenburg1 yep it's sad! there's been some shocking orchestra reductions for uk tours, the Disney's Aladdin tour has a reduced orchestra of 8 compared to its original 24?? piece orchestra
@@the_b737guy7 Not to mention the massive rushing from the pre recorded tracks... way faster than it's supposed to be. Actors are struggling to keep up.
The orchestra doesn't sound as grand and also, why's it feel so rushed?? Or maybe I'm just used to the 25th Albert Hall production.Which production is this?
It's because london cut the orchestra form 27 instuments to 14, leaving the other half to be pre recorded. The pre recorded tracking is super rushed, the actors seem like they are struggling to keep up,

Can’t stop listening to 1:21/1:22 for some reason 👌🏻😍
JR top performer in all that he does.
Jon Robyn’s plays the phantom much more like a villain compared to a lot of modern day phantoms.
Who's playing Christine here? She was fantastic!
Lily Kerhoas she’s amazing!
Ah he’s reminding me of book Erik!!
Omg yes!!
Who was Raoul because he was incredible
Michael Colbourne :)
It feels so rushed which is sad cuz this is my favorite scene in the whole show.
I agree...usually its like 15 min (well this recording started a little later) but still. its my absolute fav too :(
Do you have the title song? Boat scene
Omg that orchestra sounds so weak I never really noticed before
sadly it's been massively reduced in london and its very noticeable :( gone from 27 to 13 musicians
@@finlaycooper5209 That seems to be happening in almost all productions, not just POTO. In Germany performers have complained openly about this.

Could you tell me, please, who plays Christine?
It's Lily Kerhoas.

Do you know when they cut the orchestra size? We saw it several times in March and it was the full orchestra.

Sorry, but dont like him as the phantom! Is this a professional production?
That's the current London production
