Hello and welcome. In this video I will show you how I made this blowgun chopstick, which is also a blowgun. If you are new to the channel don’t forget to subscribe. For the chopstick I am using rose wood. Strips of wood are cut from a larger 10 mm thick sheet. We need tree piece rose wood for this project. Joining surface of the wood is made flat using a sand paper. I am using a Dremel to cut a groove for the blow gun. I made this 3D printed contraption for routing using my Dremel.
Depth of cut is 2 mm and diameter of the cutter is 4 mm, which is the diameter of carbon fiber tube I am going to use. At first I didn’t held it properly so the cut went like my career. So I cut a new piece and started again. Groove is shaped to final finish using a file. Same thing is done to the other half also. I am using 5 min epoxy to stick both half's together. Once the epoxy is cured, excess carbon fiber rod is cut using hacksaw.
Ends are made square with the help of an aluminum angle. Ends of the chopstick is made using Teak wood and 3 mm carbon fiber rod is used as dowel pins. Epoxy is only applied to teak wood so that I can remove it later.
Epoxy is cured with the pin inserted so that it will stay true. Same this done to the other side also. For the pair chop stick I am gluing both wood piece together. Using wood planer and sandpaper I am making taper of the chop stick. One end is 10 mm square and other end is 5 mm square. Edges are rounded off using file and sand paper. Now I am making a diamond shape on the top of the chopstick. For the finishing I am using clear lacquer, any food safe wood finish will work fine. This is the first time I am using chopstick. For the dart I am using spine of this cactus. Comment below if you know the name of this cactus. I am making a 50 mm circle for the target.
Effective range is 5 meter with this dart. After that the trajectory is unpredictable.
Thanks for watching don’t forget to subscribe and see you on the next video.

Think about starting an official merchandise program were you can put your works for sale. Consider this after doing some kind of poll.

Nice wood selection. The contrast of wood color gives the richness of the chop stick. And one thing I learned , I should be careful next time when I go to Chinese restaurant with you 😉😉
