This used to be my problem, the focus on finding a style without knowing the fundamentals, I wish someone told me that when I was starting out because I would be learning so much faster. When you learn the basics, you will naturally gravitate towards a certain way for drawing a certain thing (like hands) and that is the beginnings of your art style, as you practice, it will develop naturally! Found you on Instagram, awesome videos!
@@aychazyt6987 I mean I've seen what you uploaded and I think you still don't know the fundamentals, like anatomy, light, perspective and such. You know a little bit but it's often a bit off
I’ve been drawing and practicing for years and I still can’t find my art style. I get so discourage because there are people who are the exact same age as me and they draw so well and I’m so jealous of all the compliments they get. I used to enjoy art so much but at this point it’s another thing that stresses me out and gives me anxiety ☹️
Don't compare yourself to others! Everyone learns things and does things in their own pace. You need a bit more time to get better at drawing. How good you are in something depends not only on talent, but also on time. How much have you been drawing? As the video says, you will start writing crappy poetry, then decent poetry and after some time good poetry. Nobody could draw like a professional from the start. They drew, drew and after a time, it became better. Talent is just something that makes this process easier, not avoidable. Don't stress yourself out! It's important to like drawing, as it's the only way to be better at it. If you get stressed over drawings, you will start to dislike it, and it will become worse and worse. That is why you should take it easy and draw when you want to draw. Do not pressure yourself. Be happy. That is the most important. Take care of yourself.

Hey Kesh, i don't usually comment on videos but here it is! YOU ARE JUST AMAZING. I didn't get bored for a minute. The Video making style is just perfect! It just keeps viewers like me who have short attention spans be so glued to your videos. Keep Going!!
I’ve been drawing for years and I am only now trying to find my style. I skipped the tracing stage and went straight to free drawing pictures. When my sister left a picture of the Griffin from Harry Potter in the office when I was about 7, I did a free drawing of it. It was nearly perfect. When I showed my mum she was convinced that I traced it, but then she put one over the other. Since then I have been drawing all types of stuff, many different styles. 👍
Another great video Kesh! Personally this is something I've not been bothered with yet. I actually enjoy swapping styles and learning new things. I always draw stylised but I've never been bogged down by my way of doing things. I learnt a lot through 'copying' other artists work, and now I'm working on doing my own things with no direct reference/reference at all, it's been really fun. Maybe in time I'll start to worry about my style again, but I hope I revisit this video if it ever becomes a worry for me, cause everything you say is soooo true! I loved the Beethoven bit especially. Right now I'm enjoying drawing whatever I want, however I want, and just learning the basics. I'm not good at all, and have a lot to learn, but it's a lot of fun and one day I'll just suddenly have a style :P I think I'm already seeing one at times, but more interested in learning the basics, as I've never really done that. Keep up the awesome work Kesh :D
Ok! People are really confused about what to do soo... I'll tell you... 1) Basic start with complete passion... 2) Try your best in copy drawing... 3) Start taking references and draw with imagination.( Start digital art) 4) Don't find your artstyle yet! You still got to master anatomy! 5) Make sure you can draw the same faces again and again. 6) Congratulations! You have already figured out what your art style is!
I love your channel ...bcoz I am learning 2 things for your videos firstly I loved to watch art videos it's my passion. ..and secondly I have been trying to learning English language. ..so thanks for your videos. ...god bless you. ..keep it up★★★★
Thank you for this video. I always felt I'd never be good enough if I couldnt have an art style. I lost motivation to practice over it. Art is the same as learning to walk before you can ran.

Love From Bangladesh Sir
I’ve been drawing for years and I am only now trying to find my style.
I skipped the tracing stage and went straight to free drawing pictures. When my sister left a picture of the Griffin from Harry Potter in the office when I was about 7, I did a free drawing of it. It was nearly perfect. When I showed my mum she was convinced that I traced it, but then she put one over the other. Since then I have been drawing all types of stuff, many different styles. 👍
Thank you as a starter/beginner artist this really helps.
Hey, I'm a subscriber. This really helped me.
This was very helpful. Really changed my perspective as I’m learning to draw. Thank you!!
If you got one dollar every time kesh blinks, you would be poor.
Omg yeah
I'm a beginner and I was seriously struggling with this lol so this video is a life saver

3) Start taking references and draw with imagination.( Start digital art)
4) Don't find your artstyle yet! You still got to master anatomy!
5) Make sure you can draw the same faces again and again.
6) Congratulations! You have already figured out what your art style is!
Good one!

Me
Thank you for this video. I always felt I'd never be good enough if I couldnt have an art style. I lost motivation to practice over it. Art is the same as learning to walk before you can ran.
