- Eva Mumbi lost her innocence at the age of about 10 years. Her innocence was forcefully taken by her mother's lover. His intention was to infect her with HIV. To him, this was his well planned revenge against Eva's Mother claiming that she (Eva's mother) had infected him with the same virus.
And as if this was not enough, Eva's mother sunk into depression. She directed her anger to the little Eva. She would spit into her food, urinate on her shoes and beat her for no apparent reason. Here is a story of a writer of a book : WHEN TEARS ALMOST TEAR.

Hi, l'm a clinical psychologist based in Toronto, Canada. l'm impressed by the lady's eloquence, in particular, photographic memories of medical terms, despite the hardships she's undergone. Whilst l don't know her personally, but, l come from the same area she comes from, mine being Kihara. Verily, my blood would rise when mentioning places like Gachie, Karura, Mukui and Ruaka. My professional observations regarding her mom is that she adopted an Ego Defense Mechanism called Displacement, hence, her hostility towards her. All Ego Defense Mechanisms are unconscious and require Psychotherapy treatment something her mom ostensibly didn't get. Two, herself was misdiagnosed with depression and virtually all mental medications have negative effects like weight gain. l'll read her books online, thus, let her lemme know the recompense route. Superb narrative though! wonderful show!
