Married to man that she terms as extremely violent. He would beat her with a 'nyahunyu' and would beat her in broad daylight with an intention of attracting the neighbours and demeaning her.
Her divorce not only destroyed her relationship with her child but also hindered her dreams of being a church minister. She was never ordained as a reverend despite graduating with a bachelor's in Theology.

You are right wanjiru. For me he hit me for the first time and I didn't take it serious, then the second time and again the third time and the beating this third time was the worst in my life time. I didn't leave and now he would intimidate me every time. He would sleep outside and when I ask where he slept, he would start telling he would beat me and I speak kiswahili yet I don't know it. But yesterday but one, I said that enough is enough and I packed my things and left. He had slept where I don't know so I used the chance and left . I am completely sure that God will provide for me, my daughter and the one I am expecting. Women go through a lot

Narcissists are mean and selfish and dont have regard for others. They torture you in all ways. I have suffered because of this man and from today I have promised myself that I will never get back to this man in my life time. Him and his mother having been torturing me in all ways knowing that I am a graduate and on government payroll. It's not only Kenya where women are mistreated. Here in uganda, it is also worse. I watched news on tv of a pregnant woman who died from her husbands beatings and I knew it is what I am waiting for because I'm pregnant and vulnerable. I'm happy that I left..

It's very traumatic expecially for the children (if you have) .The First Slap and i left with my 2 kids. I have never remarried but my former husband i Think is in the forth marriage. I got my official divorce years latter when i could afford. Woman keep Strong, God is Faithful even to all single parrents. Remain Strong in Him and His WORD.
