South Africa, Knysna, Mossel Bay, Oudtshoorn - Garden Route South Africa Part2 - South Africa Travel

Drive through Southern Coast of South Africa. A perfect Garden Route road trip along coastal line of South Africa. This South Africa travel series covers the key destinations starting from Johannesburg to Cape Town.
South Africa also follow left hand driving, so driving was quite easy. The road following the coast line is extremely good and people in general drive safe and slow inside the towns and colonies. Our Indian driving license was good enough to rent a car from Port Elizabeth in the Eastern Cape. We dropped it in Cape town before taking the flight from there. But yes, just to be little more relaxed we did purchase insurance for any damage to the car.

Well there are several ways to look at it....
1. Weather was very bad when we left from St.Francis Bay... we couldn't get down at nature's valley & Storm river area. Even when we reached Knysna it was raining that time too in the evening & the visibility was low so we had to reach Knysna before dark & find accommodation too (unknown place for us)
2. Idea was not to visit each & every bay, no offence.. we visited what comes on the way in right time & right weather.
3. Time constraints ! During road trips we never know whats ahead.. so u don't actually know how much time u need to be dedicate to each place.

garden route is very difficult to predict the weather there because where is a mountain range that blocks most of the clouds from going inland, in summer (January, Feb, March, April) very humid rest of the year you get karate kid weather (jacket on jacket off)
