- Rebecca & I head North to visit a model shop that has just celebrated its 50th birthday this week. The extremely well know, Wonderland Models, that's located in the shadow of the great Edinburgh Castle itself.

Gavin , you did a great mission. These tiny stores should never die. As a kid a spend hours in front of their windows.
Money was small at that time. Today a always shop at these small stores to give something back.
Any model shop trading for 50 years couldn’t ask for a better brand ambassador! Shout out to Wonderland models and of course to you guys for the continued content. Awesome

Lovely 😊 my local stores used to have Tamiya & Kyosho kits built on display . Unfortunately it’s all RTR on display now. But they still have a good range of Tamiya

I got my first brand new RC kit from there in 1988, a Lunch Box. I was in there at least once a week in awe of the Tamiya promo video they played on repeat. Oh, the nostalgia ☺️
i have never seen that many rc kits in such a small store. That owner must be good at Tetris.
Nice video, enjoyed my trip over to WM back in July last year , was up in Edinburgh for my wedding anniversary. Reminded me of going in Beatties when i was a young kid great to see places like this. Nice :)
Hopefully Ian Reid is doing well. Crazy thing is going back 35 years when we raced he was using a Schumacher cat if I remember right. Crazy because wonderland models didn’t supply at the time. Used to be some great RC clubs in Scotland. Think wonderland has been owned by Ian’s family for years. Amazing the amount of stock they have including models, RC & hornby. It’s not a small store but it holds a hell of a lot of stock over a few floors.
Going there tomorrow looking forward to it

Love this. Bought my very first Tamiya Firedragon there 30 years ago and remember spending hours drooling over all the hop ups and saving all my pocket money to buy a few.

Love to see that even in these times of Internet shopping there a some retailers still keeping a physical presence, unfortunately for me I'm looking at an hour plus drive to visit one, but it is a company that has been going for over 30yrs selling RC.
Have purchased all my kits from them via the Internet.
Have brought a lot of things from them,fantastic service and great prices.

Unfortunately the expensive price is down to shipping, packaging and the low mug production numbers and the quality of mug I use. You do get some RCKicks stickers as well as the mug for that money.
