I'm a very petite girl and I have almost all insecurities all these women have, combined. And all the stories they mentioned about hating it in the shower and being treated like a child. Hurt just listening. But they all looked so gorgeous ❤️

I'm saying this because I still sometimes do it to myself, have been for 7-8 years, and trust me, it doesn't help. The only thing that helps is in REALIZING how every person is a gift unto their own selves, and there's one thing we have that can't compare to any human being in the world, OUR OWN, TRUE, UNIQUE IDENTITIES. This video really made me realize something that I've heard a lot: the worries people have are all about what other people say. It's so sad how everyone feels like they have to please everyone they see.
This makes me feel warm because I can relate to do much to it as an East Asian woman. My chest, face, it’s so “flat” and eugh it made me feel so weird growing up. People telling me to gain more weight, that I’m too short for my age when I’m well past growing, it’s all so exhausting.
As an Asian American, I agree it is hard to balance between Asian beauty standards and Western beauty standards. In America, thicc curvy body is the ideal. In Asia, skinny and petite is the ideal. If I go for the American standards, my family complains I'm getting fat. If I go for Asian standards, I get bullied for having no curves. I do what I wanna do, but the critique is still so annoying.
The far east asian standard is literally the definition of unwomanly (skinny FLAT masculine rectangle), so the obvious choice is not that. Then again most of us Far East asian women are doomed with having microscopic Flat bottom hips and bra size... 😵

I remember growing up and I hardly ever paid any attention to how I looked and if I ever looked in the mirror I was always like I look gooood and I never really realised until I got much older when people would start pointing out their insecurities I would get shocked cause I never even realised that was something people actually really worried about.
One main issue that popped out to me is how social media plays such a huge role. I got instagram last year and felt such a sickening self hate change in myself and i deleted it after 4 months. NEVER LOOKED BACK.
All these women are beautiful Asian women are beautiful and general so they shouldn't try to make themselves be what they are not. Whether you have small boobs big boobs a big butt no butt everyone is beautiful in their own right. Embrace the culture and brings who you are do what makes you feel beautiful there's someone out there for you.

I felt the height part. I’ve been 5’2 ever since I was 12 and I’m currently 16. I never really got bullied for it but just seeing all the other girls who were once shorter than me grow to an above average height kinda makes me feel a bit jealous 😅
I feel like people are losing sight of what's important...There are a lot of people who are short, don't have a big chest or things like that...It's not SPECIFIC to one race or ethnicity...It's universal! But, is it really important in the grand scheme of things?! A lot of people are hospitalized battling a serious illness, can't function properly in their day to day life due to a health condition, don't have access to proper food, water or even vaccines, lost someone or passed away during the pandemic...I think people are putting value on the wrong things nowadays which is very sad to see!
The Pakistani girl really isn't flat chested at all. like AT ALL. I WISH I could go without a bra and look like that. Having these insecurities isn't strictly an Asian thing. I get that some of these things are Asian stereotypes, but most women who are lacking in any of these departments compares themselves to what they are seeing in the media and feels insecure.

Honestly...women perpetuate their own insecurities. Insecure women retouch photos online, put on a whole other face with makeup, get surgery....and in turn make other insecure women think what’s actually “normal and natural” is not desirable!
