The role of the preacher is to preach the gospel... to love others as God loves you... to have a pure and loving heart and an intelligent mind... "...when we do God's will, we will know..." and "God created all things..." ...including sorcery and witchcraft and all the other religions... God want's us all to enter God's Kingdom... not when we die.... but when we do God's will... God is love and we can all know God through loving Him and others...
I attend a church that doesn't have deacons or elders and the pastor does not want to be a shepherd. I think it's dead. When he first came to the church he told us from the pulpit he didn't want to know our problems, that was pretty shocking to me and as I listen to this message I am close to tears.
In my church I have a pastor and leaders who say biblical affirmations, they live holy lives, but when they say they love you and you are like family to them, this is just in words. They really do not care what is going on in your life -personal, spiritual, etc. If you have a struggle they say to give it to the Lord and that is all. You need to come joyfully at church, to serve with joy and to of course - you need to bring new people. If you are happy, everyone will greet you and want to be near you. If you are sad or saying you have a problem most church people would not want to speak to you and you would be a bit ignored. The leaders would bring into your attention that you show negativity. I am disapointed as I thought the church ought to be different than the world. All these verses about helping one another are dissregarded or overlooked. To be honest I don't know why God would put me in this church if I still need to rely entirely on His help. This I can do this on my own as well, why do I need this people in my life? What is the role then of a church and of a pastor ?
Dear FATHER whom is on high, I apologize so many buy into the lie. It's because of how much deciet, but I will not admit defeat. I will reach out to any with an ear, I pray you demolish their fear. For our times are changing very fast, I know your word says it will not last. I want to thank you with every fiber of my being, to YOU ONLY my heart and soul sings, PRAISE TO THE KING! I ask you for your gift to discern and to help people to be able to learn. For your ways are eternal and true, GOD on high I love you. Our pastor just gave a whole sermon on how he’s really not “our Pastor”, God is . He said “ I barely know all 300 members names”. He also brought in a gay man to meet up with my very broken bf , who he elected as his men’s group leader , after knowing him only a short while . My partner is very broken and not one to be leading men to Christ. It also has taken away from our family time , for them to do these drunk hang outs- they call them wiskeypilians in laughter. Later at one of these men groups the gay man admitted to being sexually in need and let my partner know he’s fully ok with self pleasure with his buddies and his wife approves , as its not cheating ! Let’s just say I confronted the pastor with this and he said”yeah I keep that guy at arms length”. Then why are you Bringing him into the circle !?! Guard your sheep!!
@Michael Shelton yes I've switched to Greek Orthodox and very happy at my new church ... yes that church was very sick. I was checked for Jezebel spirit by that very sick pastor and told of I couldn't speak in tongues I was of Satan... I'm praying that church gets a new pastor !! Religious abuse in America still exists and is real !
I feel more discouraged than encouraged from my pastor. ☹️ He try’s to correct things I put on Facebook. He message me when I posted only 2 out of 3 singers I videoed in church. He thinks the left out person may get their little feelings hurt all the while it hurt my feelings that he got onto me. I took the two videos down. 😢 I think pastor is too nosy. It should be between me and God what I do. Pastor preaches things I don’t believe in but I don’t confront him about it. 🙄
If the end is so near.. should I just drop out of college ( I’m a freshman in college ) since martial law will probably be here by the time I finish college.. any advice??! Thanks
Mauselio Escobar my advice is too seek the lord, and that he should be adored. That way no matter what path you take, you won't see the lake. Just do not accept the mark for it shall close the ark. Mauselio Escobar since none of us know the day or hour of His return we must keep going with everything He has called us to do. He told us clearly in the scriptures to 'occupy until He comes.' That doesn't mean looking for a way to escape what we're doing now, and I'm not suggesting you are doing that, but we must 'bloom where we're planted' so to speak, keep the faith and tell others about Him before it's too late for them. Your concern is not biblical nor wise as you cannot make a life decisions based on a fear of something in the Future that you cannot be sure would happen in your lifetime. Put another way You should not refuse to plant your vegetables because the scripture declares that "THE SUN WOULD TURN INTO BLOOD" some time in the future.
Why do you have to move to be in a local church. This is not sound biblical advice. Scripture teaches us to "abide in the state in which he called us". When one comes to the saving knowledge through Jesus Christ our Lord his SEARCH is over so to speak. He/she has found the PEARL OF GREAT PRIZE and he sells all he has to purchase it. This "selling of all"metophorizes our letting go of all SEEKING to walk in humble devotion to the message of Jesus. But some how this DIVINE IDEA of devotion to CHRIST has been replaced with Devotion to, Loyalty to,Service in or Congregating with a "local Church ". This is a screwed up agenda that has limited and destroyed the growth and maturity of so many Christians who had they relied upon the comfort that comes from bearing faithfully the trials of life could have blossomed into mighty warriors of the FAITH. "These subtle errors are the "little leaven that leavens the whole lump". God is really the one who sets the church in order and in functionally. If individual Christians focused on "walking in the spirit" daily the church is bound to be effective. In stead we have replaced seeking to walk in the DIVINE CALLING with a mere association with a sociopolitical INSTITUTIONALIZED group called THE LOCAL CHURCH to the point of making SERVANTS OF GOD /CHILDREN OF THE HEAVENLY JERUSALEM slaves to FINDING ONE and SUBJECTING themselves to BONDAGE again (RELIGIOUSITY). Christ has made us free and WE must remain in this freedom. How does anything become bondage? When the TRUTH or GOODNESS of a thing is exaggerated to the point of OBLIGATION. This in no way mean Christians must not seek the biblical order of the apostolic church but not at the expense of everything else. Things grow in stages this is why Paul say set in order the things that are lackin. It means he could not for for a significant period implement certain things in the church before time. What do you do? Continue with the work of ministry and Christian living until such time. So if believers don't have to privilege of a biblical local assembly don't get worried as ND bent out of shape searching for one. Just liv ed the life God has called you to live and walk in obedience daily such a believer would find he would come to know christ with an intimacy that would be a PRIVILEGE and a BLESSING even to other believers who have spent years in local assembles like sitting ducks listening to sermon after sermon. Pastors (in the singular) is a very unbiblical leadership structure. A plural eldership is the NT model.
