Japanese skateing is different from the California skateing these dudes film and skate different. Its rad that they're doing they're own thing keep it coming!!
@@EggZema_ check out osaka daggers - they created their own style with no influence of what was going on in the outside skate world. Although some Japanese skaters skate like they could be from the US, many take inspiration from the Osaka daggers and this is an example of that
thing about this style is that the tricks may be "easier" or the types that you learn when first learning how to skate...but whats amazing is that you can increase the difficulty of them by stringing them into combos and opens up an entirely new perspective on what is a spot. GOOOOD STUFF!!!!
This was a fresh addition that we needed in skateboarding. The old with the new, Mike V, Hensley, Mullen and beyond. Keep kicking and pushing. You guys rule!!!
Love this guy. I like the way he thinks outside the box and combines old school and new school tricks. And does stuff that you don't see everyone else doing. I.e. he isn't just a carbon copy of someone else, like a lot of skaters.
Japan seems to have such a true Respect to Skateboarding. Every style being represented, but mixed and mashed in a classy, rad yet still Original way. Most of all, you can tell they’re Having Fun with it. ❤️
You might like magenta if you havent checked them out. I forget he name but there is a sick squad from japan that also colabs with magenta sometime or is like very similar.
bugsta2012 what’s wrong with you? You said people like mike V. He was inspired by the Osaka daggers...Not mike v...mike v isn’t famous like that in Japan.
LSRP June I’m sorry I didn’t know you went with mike thru the 80’s 90’s ect. And seen their influence over Japan,I been in Japan many times and seen how much respect mike v. Got which ain’t really the same in the states , it’s mostly about the tricks of the day, i meant the inspiration people like mike put over Japan and the way mike still skates till this day
bugsta2012 simple as this, maybe the older Japanese skaters had a interest in mike but honestly, the newer Japanese skaters I don’t think are too focused on American skaters. They’re probably going to win the olympics too. Not even half the kids I know who skate nowadays can even recall who mike v is: teenagers who grew up in America watching American skate videos etc. let alone a younger person from a country who has developed their own insane skate culture since the 80s and 90s .
Crazy to see this type of skating on thrasher, this wouldn't fly in 2010 😂 been noticing this type of skating hella on Instagram and not everyone can pull it off
James D hmmm maybe not man. This type of skating is actually super hard because few skaters still use old school stuff like that. One footed stair wallrides I’ve only seen like 2 times over several years of religious thrasher subscription. Everyone’s got a knack for a certain style. You wouldn’t see Tiago skate like Gou Myiagi for instance. But both these guys are beasts.

@@sarcasmenul Because if you can do actual skate tricks then you're not gonna put your foot on the ground. Skating is much harder than glorified walking.
@ okay majority of the skaters that get posted by thrasher can possibly do these tricks but not all can make them look good. That what's I mean when I said not everyone can pull this off and make it look stylish
@ true , I personally don't do this type of skating as I started skating during fully flared era. But when I see this type of skating at parks and looks forced it's boring.
One of the most original skaters right now. Whole package, fashion and flow. All street spots. And this is just a beginning, I think in few next year he gonna be more monster. モンスターですね
Seems like a lot of Japanese skaters like to do all of the tricks that pros in other parts of the world don't bother with or don't consider "real" tricks (whatever that means). All a matter of preference but I'm glad there are at least people out there who show love to this style. It's definitely refreshing to see.
Wow., some tricks are fusioned with other tricks and , they use so much grab technics . This piece of art is so original . It's not the typical thing that I see in skate videos like over using treflip and other elements that I can say .

Don Felix honestly love how this is with any activity. Good to learn and be inspired from
Most of Japanese skateboarders skates like USA skaters and vice versa. This guy has his own personality and thats not because he is from Japan.

Skating on and off since the 80s, I definitely enjoyed this. Seemed like he encompasses many era's of skate tricks. Personally I enjoyed this.
One of the best skate parts I've ever watched from the music the visuals the general tricks and vibes brilliant
thing about this style is that the tricks may be "easier" or the types that you learn when first learning how to skate...but whats amazing is that you can increase the difficulty of them by stringing them into combos and opens up an entirely new perspective on what is a spot. GOOOOD STUFF!!!!
I loved everything about this! Filming, editing, but most importantly how fun it looked🔥 I gotta go skate now
Oh my god… ive been watching this video for the past 2 years because its my absolute favourite video ever… just realised that you commented 😂

I love how freestyle yet modern he is
God his style is amazing
Love Yoshioka's style. Such a breath of fresh air.
Love this part. Looks so fun and creative. I love how each skater interpret the spot differently and comes with their own style.
Probably one of the sickest skate videos i've ever seen. More of an art instillation than anything. Keep rippin dog

Evisen is dope. Nice to see them get some shine.
Saw the first clip and I already know I’m gonna love this guy
1:08 that’s one of the most beautiful tricks I seen. He bounced off that rail like he was on the moon.

RoboCop, best movie ever!!
fugazi32 that movie scared me for life I’m 32
Kento & Gou Miyagi should do a Rodney vs. Daewon type part.
I was thinking the same thing, they have such a similar style with skating and with who films their skate parts
Gou's a family man recluse these days down in Okinawa last I heard. This kid definitely owes a big inspiration to Gou's style

This is mi favorite skate tricks and style! dude is insane!
Definitely in my top 3 parts of the year. Take any trick in this and it'd be an ender for most other folks' parts. Love it, straight up crazy style.
Unique, creative, talented! That airwalk down the 12 set was the coolest thing ever. Rarely see those.
The day/night edit is flawless. Love it ❤
