Let’s drive it he said! First run of the newly acquired BearHawk after doing various jobs on it. Let’s just say it didn’t quite got to plan in the end, it was fun whilst it lasted.

Hi Andy, love the work you have done on this buggy, it looks so cool with those black wheels and the pin spikes. Such a great looking RC, full stop! Also really digging the new logo, look great on that red T-shirt! Oh mate, this all feels so familiar to me, making a video and the bloomin' RC throws a bone!!! Cheers Mark , glad you like the Bear Hawk it’s one of my favourite 90’s Tamiya’s buggy’s. Wanted to try keep it period looking but with a few minor updates and changes. I was gutted with the UJ popping out , I should of know really ;) I’ll have it out again soon! Thanks again Mark

Such a shame it threw the drive shaft, seemed to be running really well up to that point mate. I love the Bear Hawk, great looking buggy. Excellent video as always!!
How do :) yeah but gutted it no longer wanted its driveshaft as it was running very nicely. I love the bear hawk as well, one I can’t seem to get out of my system , cheers mate ;)

It was really getting it around out there!!! It is a really cool buggy and looks even better running around out there. A couple internal spacer in the shocks and you should be golden. Just don't run it too much, I know is has to be tempting!!!
Hey Addam how’s it going? Cheers for the tip, that would have been my next call, I ended up putting a shorter shock eyelet on the bottom of the rod to pull the shocks up and lessen the angle the drive shafts were sitting at. It was fun running it ;) cheers
@@andyrobinsonrc2480 doing well and hope you are as well! I didn't even think about that as usually what is on there you are stuck with based on the design of the arms. Easier fix for sure since you don't have to make a big mess of shock oil everywhere!!!

Yeah that did suck a bit , but it’s all fixed now only took 5 mins to sort it, bedsides that it was going really well xx

Wow I have an original one of these in my loft that has never been used, I must get it out to take a smell of it lol
Ha ha , do it ;) maybe get it going and give it a run as well ;)
Guess there is no room too add shims before you thread it through the rear bearings in the hubs a mm or two too push the ends inwards more towards the gearbox while still having threads too put the wheelnuts & hex on fine ?
That might be a free fix that works pretty nicely.
The Thundershot dogbones i guess would work otherwise ?
Thanks for the tip it shouldn’t need the shims really as the main factor is the shocks are longer than the original kit ones, helping to
push the drive shafts and lower wish bones up creating an angle , it’s all fixed now but I may had some shims just incase ;)

Heya! Thank you very much it’s all sorted now , just lowered the car with some shorter shock eyelets ;)
