Remi, as a fellow Cyster, THANK YOU SO MUCH for being open and talking about PCOS. It truly is a difficult diagnosis! I beat myself up so much over my symptoms sometimes even though I have little control over them. It’s SO healing to hear from other cysters and being able to relate to someone. I would love more episodes on the topic if that’s something you’re comfortable doing! 💕
remi medications are created for a REASON ! this is the medication that is here to help you during this chapter of life. you don’t need to worry about what others think just because some have used it for the wrong reasons ❤ you’re using it for what it’s made for! you should never feel badly about that

in our society, when siblings grow up and have families they drift apart and start just being formal with each other. yesterday my sister and i were basically cry while talking about how we want that to never happen to us. i truly truly hope we break the cycle.

i’ve been here since 2018 like LITERALLY since content baby content and it’s so crazy to go back and listen to those eps (they’re v comforting for some reason) and seeing how much rem and alisha’s lives have completely changed. like from these two crying on their 2018 recap to recanting how 2019 was an amazing year and now like a whole 5 years later. i just love them so much :,)
This episode had me on the edge of tears because it's so relatable to me, my life and exactly how I'm feeling in my mid 20s. I know someone who is on the shots and abuses it which is so sad to see considering my own mom uses it for actual health reasons.
I started listening to pretty basic ever since the first ep, and when yall transitioned to yt I WAS LIVING, so glad i can see yall have ur conversations now.
I remember watching Alisha and Remi for so long, & when they started their podcasts 5 years ago I knew it would be the best! From listening Pretty Basic on school buses to car rides from college, and also ofcourse watching the vlogs I love being part of your lives & seeing how much you both have grown! Remi, I think it’s great to tell people about your experience with pcos in the event a medication someone else’s doctor may have not thought about could work for them. Everyone is different. The reason I say this is because my mom is in a support group for her medical issues (not pcos) but my mom seeks out advice others are getting because we are not in an area to have experienced doctors in my mothers case.. so ideas from others, my mom takes them to her doctors.. and they are either comfortable with trying or they aren’t and give their reasons why. But sometimes this group truly gives my mom hope that there could be hope that something could help her..

I was raised more similar to Alisha and she really enlightened me on anger in this episode. I have totally always viewed it as a negative emotion and don’t allow it to surface. And when my partner does, it upsets me so much and I view it as a weakness, etc. But Alisha is so right, it’s a neutral emotion. I wasn’t allowed to feel it growing up but as an adult I need to allow my perspective to adapt.

This day should only be what you and cal want! You two will look back on this day in years to come and you can never redo whats already been the 1st. So honestly do you , do what only you and cal want to do. This is not a selfish thing because this day belongs to the two who are getting married. Also down the road you might even look back and say gees was nice , fun and all but we could have done it with less or more. lol any how I have total love for you and wish you nothing but health and happiness. I will say this season in your lives is the time that I find myself watching you guys the most your blogs on your separate channels when you guys blog together, I listen to the podcast and to see you guys now glowing with security with confidence to see yourselves surrounded by love and just genuine, authentic people just kind of makes me happy.

it’s so funny to hear you guys say you feel younger when i feel 25. i’m 16. i don’t do anything a 16 year old would do. i’m in a long term relationship. i consistently listen to podcasts and work towards goals. where as most girls my age are just trying to have fun. I think i definitely need to learn from them.
As a 22yo I feel you, I always felt older when I was younger and then when I reach the point of getting into adulthood it hit me like a ton of bricks. My mind switched and I craved the good old days and missed being a child. So take it easy, it is okay to feel different and older than most however don't forget to make the most out of your teen years and to have fun !
i relate to this so much. I just got out of a two year relationship and am in another relationship currently. My family, friends and therapist all are surprised to see me dating someone only a year or two older rather than someone in their early 20s. I sometimes feel out of place because i think i moved past the point in my life i’m in, long before I even reached it.
Been a dedicated listener and watcher since 2018! Life savers of my pandemic days. Can’t wait for Season 6 of Pretty Basic.

I'm a type 2 diabetic and ozempic was the best thing to ever happen to my health. I ended up in the hospital a year ago for having my diabetes out of control and ozempic had my A1c go from a 12 to a 6. So for those shaming anyone on it shame on you because you don't know the story behind it. And Remi I'm so happy that you are doing better now and i wish you all the happiness in the world. ❤️❤️❤️

One thing that has helped me feel peace and not feel scared is and if you're religious, to spray holy water on the corners of your apt and on the doors while praying to God to protect you from all evil and rebuking all evil from your home. ❤
God does not allow anything bad to harm us, He is always there to protect us and keep us safe. 🙏 Have faith and let God in.
