  • It’s Season 6! Shannon is back to catch you up on all of the insanity that has been the last 3 weeks. From hematomas, to hyperbaric chambers, to herpes, it’s been an absolute whirlwind and here’s the timeline. Starting with the dental debacle: what actually happened? Could it happen again? After talking to experts, Shannon shares her diagnosis, and the steps she took to help speed the healing process, one of those steps being a pressurized oxygen chamber. A new phone, $1200, and no progress later, Shannon makes the hard decision to postpone her Nashville show. She reflects on relinquishing control and prioritizing her health. Her rest and healing efforts paid off, as Boston, Pittsburgh, Philadelphia and NYC still went on as planned, and she even picked up a little treat. Tune in to hear all of the dental dramas and financial investments in episode 101: This is NOT a Finance Podcast.
P.S. Don’t take your phone in the hyperbaric oxygen chamber!

The reality of the trauma that is people pleasing and the guilt that follows when you have no choice but to “let people down” to literally take care of YOURSELF is so real. Your relatability and openness is such a blessing to everyone, and I look up to you so much for all of it! I’m so happy you’re feeling better💓

I also have to say as someone who has had crazy skin things like this happen my whole life it’s SO nice that you’re so open about it. I’m open about it in my life too because what else am I gonna do? But you have a huge audience and your job is to be public so it’s really awesome 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻

I followed the saga on insta and herpes was my guess. People think it’s so gross but truly anyone can get it. I got it from a partner and we were being the most safe and responsible. I couldn’t understand why my doctor acted like it was no big deal when he gave me the diagnosis. I thought my whole world was ending. But truly the worst thing about it is the stigma and that it’s contagious. It doesn’t shorten your life span, it doesn’t kill you, but it took me a long time to feel that way about it. The first time is also the worst and and most painful. I was diagnosed 4 years ago and have only had it show up one other time and it was less than half the time for it to go away. I don’t really share that info often but it’s worth it if it helps someone else feel less distraught if they found out they have herpes.

I flew to Nashville to see your show and I was disappointed when I saw it was cancelled but after seeing your pics and hearing your story, I definitely get it. I'm happy you're feeling better and in good Shannon spirits.

This is so red head coded. I once had a horrible allergic reaction after a surgery from the iodine solution they scrub your skin with pre op. My entire arm / chest developed an insane rash that then started to BUBBLE and then pussed and then crusted. That very regular standard practice thing literally ate my skin off. It’s a whole fucking thing with sensitive ass ginger skin. I feel your pain girlie and I’m so sorry you had to go through all of that!! Justice for the red heads❤
