most college profs are so chill! my sociology teacher always had her door open for us (and for those who weren't her students) in case we wanted snacks, tea or simply someone to talk to! she knew not everyone had food or a shoulder to lean on, so she offered it to us :')

same. the only time i've even been to my campus was early this year (before lockdown) and the visit only lasted like 40 minutes. i just finished my first college semester and i still feel like a hs student.

i just love how syd really is brutally honest. from the first question, i just know most other youtubers would tiptoe around instead of actually answering it lmao
I would definitely recommend joining a major, minor, or interests based sorority/frat! It's nowhere near as controlling or toxic as those Panhellenic "main" sororities. I'm in a music sorority and we go around our city and campus and do service work for whoever needs it :) We clean highways, help out the band, mow people's yards, etc.

I also find college professors to be a lot more lenient and just nicer overall than teachers in high school.

Everything you said about college boys is spot on! Personally, I've always thought 95% of guys get worse after high school. I'm going to make sure that I shy away from ever turning into an alcoholic, self-centered college dude because I just find those kinds of guys to be extremely annoying and I NEVER want to be that guy. The problem is that because of how many guys there are like this, it's hard to find the actual good ones.
Just to give an alternative opinion, I go to a smaller school and rushing was definitely worth it bc I found so many amazing women who I wouldn't have otherwise met! but greek life at my school is so tiny and chill, like we don't even have houses. and the sorority im in got rid of legacies so while I can acknowledge that the greek life system is very discriminatory, my sorority is making conscious efforts to lessen it

As a second year college student, the part about professors is spot on. The teacher that taught my college writing and college literature classes in High School made it seem like college professors were super strict, and that hasn’t been the case for me at all. I’ve had quite a few times in my classes where problems came up with assignments and online exams, and I just emailed them and explained what was going on, and every time they have been willing to work with me to make sure I was able to get things sorted out and get done whatever it was that I was struggling with.

My advice for roommates after having them three years of my college experience - don't have any. Avoid them at all costs because they're a nightmare most of the time lol
I feel like there's never any middle ground where two people can just live together...people either end up being BEST friends with their roommates or mortal enemies lol

The sorority thing is so true. I go to the University of Arkansas (big party school) and all my “friends” in high school told me I’d never make friends if I didn’t join a sorority. I didn’t join one, they did and then they all quit talking to me. Anyway I made friends and honestly realized how toxic friends were.

a lot of my profs so far have been suuuper chill and accommodating (for reference i go to a huge school of 40k students) and they all want us to succeed and do well and give us all the resources necessary to do so and it's great (except my untreated mental illness took my first two years of school which sucks)
I'm loving this style of video, I'm very stressed about my fourth year of university so this was nice to watch. The editing was very chill and relaxing, I like any editing style you do and it's very evident how much work and effort you put into the videos. Thank you

OMG DONT OVERSTRESS COLLEGE EMAILS! Literally 90% of the time I will send professors the most formal email, times new Roman, 12pt , legal language, GOD himself doesn’t write emails so formal, the whole ordeal and they just say “that’s acceptable, have a great day.” 😭

I am a sophomore in a business school and feel like the material is dumbed down in many ways and like I am not really learning anything. It would be interesting to hear someone from another schools perspective on the curriculum and why they went with their major.

I’m graduating from college next semester I just came to see if you were dishing out the truth 😂 the only thing I would add is to read the damn syllabus guys! Every professors policy is different. Some allow laptops in class and some don’t. Some only let you miss 3 classes some literally don’t care if you never come. Some do not accept late assignments at all and some will accept it a month later.
You should do a tour of all your penn state wardrobe/merch-
