Thanks for all the tips. This year I made a huge cemetery in my yard. FYI I used painters caulk with silicone to glue mine. It worked great and is a fraction of the price of pure silicone
You would just need a bigger motor... and something sturdier than a Popsicle stick. maybe something resembling a gear with irregular teeth. I have seen this done in other halloween/haunt prop videos.
So, the wood base is secure, but all you have holding the foam to it is a couple screws drilled into the Styrofoam? I guess its fine in an enclosed area, but mild wind will tear it off.
I LOVE your youtube page! Such great ideas and always done with inexpensive materials. You're awesome! FYI - I never thought about reinforcing the Dollar Tree tombstones. Two years in a row we had a windstorm and I totally forgot about the tombstones. NO clue where they ended up LOL!
AWESOME video! Your explanations are perfect without getting bogged down in tiny details. You give enough instructions, you mention the tools, you explain why you're doing things, you even added a caution about the glues! I didn't just give you a LIKE, I SUBSCRIBED! Thanks a ton for this!
great job, thank you for making your neighborhood so special for the kids around you. They will grow up and forever remember this and be influenced by you. And hopefully, they pay it forward to the kids of their day.
Fun! When I paint my tombstones I actually "paint" them with mortar mix. I add water to mortar mix to desired consistency and add some black paint to get a darker grey color when dry. ETA: Mortar mix, done thicker, would actually hide the seam lines.
Dude, you're awesome. Simple instructions, kid friendly, incredible results, and we can see that you love doing this. Thanks for the tutorial and I'm definitely subscribing!
What I appreciate a lot from your videos is that your approach to making stuff with different materials is unique, well at least to me, I have been a cosplay prop maker for quite some time now yet I learn so many things from you. Keep doing a great job!
Awesome tutorial. Your house must look awesome at halloween. I'll bet the neighbourhood kids love it. If I didn't live so far away (Canada), I'd be trick or treating at your house for sure!
I hope you see this and can answer. The flickering whiteish light in the outdoor scene that comes on and off ... where can I get that? I absolutely love the mood it creates!
I would be concerned about the wind ripping the tombstones off the hinge. Would that motor work if the supportive back pieces were done in plywood or would you suggest a stronger motor? I want to do this. I think it's awesome.
The links on older videos aren't working on your website. Example the "follow you eyes" takes you to a error page. I've noticed this on a few of your older videos. Do you have another location to these? Thanks in advance. Enjoy your tutorials
Simple and genius... seeing the videos from last year I thought: "I give up on making fine art and illustration! I only want to make Halloween decoration, all year long!!"
That is a great idea. I use the sign stands that you can buy from Home Depot. So far so good. This is a great idea though and probably makes them extra sturdy. When mine break I incorporate them into the design. It actually makes them look super creepy like an old broken tombstone. These came out absolutely awesome!
Oh my gosh you are awesome. You have me giggling when you got so excited. But that is absolutely so cool.. I watched it all but I'm not exactly sure how the popsicle sticks made it go up down
Wow! Great work!!! Thank you for sharing your ideas, work, technique, and fun...I'll be sure to implement some of your ideas in future projects. Again, great work!
I just bought a bunch of those dollar store tombstones. I'm so excited to paint them so they don't look as cheezy lol. And my husband can add motors! Thanks for this it will be SO helpful!!!
Wow epic tombstone makes absolutely love how you animated them love the device that made it work very well put together made a great addition to your spooky grave yard set up which I love how you got that
so i created some tombstones based on your design. they mostly worked great but came across an issue. the deer motor and the tongue depresser. i found situations where the rotating causes the screw to unscrew over time. i have my decorations out all month so they are under a lot of use. ive been trying to find a way to secure them non-permanently as i also had a couple of motors just die so id need to replace the motor as needed. any ideas on how to keep the screw secured with out being permanent?
Any chance I can buy x2 of the Skull Tombstones from you (Nightmare Before Christmas one). I don't need motors or hinges on them. I'd make them myself but I live in a cubicle and my apartments don't allow us to do anything outside.
I always turn to your videos for inspiration the way they move looks like something you would see and buy at spirit Halloween fantastic job love it looks very well made love your videos
SO rather than doing the smaller tombstone I DIY 24" ones. They worked but because I had used a joint compound/wood glue/paint mix it was "heavy". the motors ran fine but the popcicle wood stick will make the screw hole bigger and will start to slip. in order to fix that I used a 4mm Rigid Flange Shaft Coupling to the motor shaft. The coupling had 4 screw holes but I only used two to connect it to the popcicle and problem was resolved. Connection with the coupling and stick are very solid and can handle some "weight". Get them at Amazon (www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07L1FMBBC/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1) they say they are 5mm but they are actually 4mm. Worked like a champ for the motors on the link. Thank you for the tutorial Eduardo!
I ordered the motors you suggested, but they didn't come with the red and black wires. What kind of wires do I use, and how do I install them. I am a novice in regards to wiring!
im making a couple of these and i see that the motor has some holes in the part where you glued it into the foam. Have you had any trouble with these for overheating? Do you think it needs a modification for more airflow?
Tip: Instead of tent stakes I use landscaping staples. If you can't find wood from pallets, use cedar fence pickets, which are light in weight and naturally weather resistant, so you only need to paint the exposed surfaces.
Thanks for all the tips. This year I made a huge cemetery in my yard. FYI I used painters caulk with silicone to glue mine. It worked great and is a fraction of the price of pure silicone
I dig the fact you went spooky instead of scary for the little kids. Nice and stylistic.
It's that time of year again when we look to our man at Monster Tutorials for inspiration. Well done on the headstones they are fantastic!!
Jo Berg he did one heck of a job, I wonder what’s next ?.
bullshit. the movement makes too much noise when running. thats why he covered it up with loud music in the intro.
@Eric
Py I’d
EVERY TIME IT'S EDWARDO, I ALREADY LIKE IT!
Wondering if you could do a coffin with multiple motors, offset in timing, to make it look like the lid is rattling.
You would just need a bigger motor... and something sturdier than a Popsicle stick. maybe something resembling a gear with irregular teeth. I have seen this done in other halloween/haunt prop videos.
@@maggie4299 a windshield wiper motor seems to be the one commonly used
I don't know if you saw but he did that this year! Not the lid rattling but the lid opening th-cam.com/video/rQ4kQYj_GKw/w-d-xo.html
@@Neen118 Awesome! Thank you, Miss Justine.
Awesome! My favorite part is the big smile on your face when you look at the tombstones. If I move to where you are, can we be neighbors? lol
Teri Lugo I know he did look very happy with the results, I wonder what he has in store next ?.
100%. You can tell he has a real love and passion for his spooky work.
Good Job on the tombstones hope we can be friends
That's SWEEEEEEEEET! NIce job brother, we love your super fun moving tombstones. Another great job carving a foam prop too!
This is a great ideal.Your grave yard is spooky awesome.
those little motors are perfect for that. the kids will love those man.
Great video. I'd love to see you make a very large spider. PLEASE!
OH MY GAWD! THOSE ARE SO AWESOME! Eduardo, you are a genius!🎃👻💀
You are a ghoulish artist ... the best kind!
Spooktacular projects❣️They add whimsy to your graveyard while dancing with delight.💓
I’ve made gravestones out of this foam... but man! Yours are so much better! Awesome job. Thanks for sharing.
Oh yeah! I love Halloween. Spooky not gory!
Instead of the soldering and heat gun you can also just use wire nuts. Theres small blue wire nuts that you can use for low voltage wiring.
So, the wood base is secure, but all you have holding the foam to it is a couple screws drilled into the Styrofoam? I guess its fine in an enclosed area, but mild wind will tear it off.

Well produced video with good sound quality. Just need a battery option hookup for field operation.
I watched this all the way through and sat through all the ads. The tutorial is that good!
Awsome job. I did tomb stones last year, and had a big problem with the glue melting my styrofoam,.nice tips. I'll know better next time.
Use the caulk from dollar tree, it’s the best glue I’ve tried so far.
Any way to make them weather / sprinkler proof?
My bf is a fan of Nightmare Before Christmas. These gravestones look very cool & looks easy enough to make.
I could seriously watch you do these all day!! Wow, what talent and thank you for doing all the AMAZING things you do!!! ❤❤💋💋
Love the way you do this for different budgets and always thinking outside of the box

Your enthusiasm is amazing and contagious 🤓 I’m looking forward to starting this project.
As i watch you making the custom headstone.it would been cool to see that face that is on your shirt on that stone .prop mob
So cool! Anywhere else we can get the motors? It says they're unavailable
I wish you had shown us the back of the tombstones when the motor was working to see how the popsicle sticks moved when the power was turned on.
Dude, you're awesome. Simple instructions, kid friendly, incredible results, and we can see that you love doing this. Thanks for the tutorial and I'm definitely subscribing!
Freaking genius! This is so amazing!!! Keep it spooky.
Ugh i love this haunted mansion vibe!!

The dry brush set it off I love this

You never fail to make it look easy while showing us how to do it in a simple, step-by-step way. Very cool talent-- Thanks for sharing it!
Could this be done with a deer motor? To avoid all the soldering and wire work?
Awesome tutorial. Your house must look awesome at halloween. I'll bet the neighbourhood kids love it. If I didn't live so far away (Canada), I'd be trick or treating at your house for sure!
Great tips! My son and I are planning to add this to the show for Halloween
These are SOOOOO COOL!!! Thank You for sharing this with Us. I love watching Your videos.
Love the effect. Well done, Eduardo!

What a wonderful addition to the yard! I can't wait to try this.
This is so awesome! Also what's the name of the music playing? I love it!
Just found the channel. Amazing work! Would you consider a tutorial on how you lit the graveyard? A walkthrough of the supplies you use?
hey good video. how around I connect the cables to the motor does not matter? What is the thread of the pin on the motor? Greetings from Germany
Wow this was a great explanation and I feel like I could do it too. My cat also enjoyed watching . Thank you for explaining so nicely
You make otherwise cheesy props look spooky. I would proudly use anything you make bro. Thanks for your tutorials.
These look absolutely AMAZING! I would love to make some, but I don’t have a good spot to put them. Maybe in the future. 👻🎃💀
Oh god its holloween everyday on this channel I love it
This was a really nicely done tutorial. Thanks for taking the time to make it.
I love love love love LOVE Halloween. The Intro brought me back to the 90’s Halloween commercials I use to watch as kid. Well done
Yup. Commercials were way better back in the day.
Love them. Seem very doable for anyone.
You could also use a ball of aluminumfoil and roll it over the foam. ;)
I REALLY love your Nightmare Before Christmas headstone. Great video!
Just made one with a wood tombstone i made a few months ago. Thanks for the inspiration
How cool! The best part is that thanks to your excellent instructions it wouldn’t be hard to make! Thanks so much for sharing!

This is great. I bet you can use a graduated wood disk so it goes gradually up and down will look like body is breathing underground
Any chance I can buy x2 of the Skull Tombstones from you (Nightmare Before Christmas one). I don't need motors or hinges on them. I'd make them myself but I live in a cubicle and my apartments don't allow us to do anything outside.

Great job. Thank you for sharing. You explain everything in great detail.
What is link to buy motor?. I love this idea

Sometimes TH-cam recommends the perfect things.
