Hi Sideeg, I just published a video to my channel with 2x All American Mitch Minotti from Lehigh. We break down the whole match and he really went in depth and show us the nuances of his technique and mindset. If you enjoyed this I think you'd enjoy ours. Hope you get the chance to check it out: th-cam.com/video/ZjCjgmjke9g/w-d-xo.html
Joseph Reed true but in his matches against Hosseinkhani, Sidakov, and IMAR at final x, Burroughs struggled to get to his double and shot singles a lot
I love these studies! Just the time it takes to find the clips and edit the videos must be a ton of work. A part of Martinez's defense worth mentioning is his use of the shin whizzer starting at :27 and 5:08. The shin whizzer creates a lot of pressure on the shoulder and helps break the attacker's posture as much as or more than the pressure on the head. It also stops Burroughs from attaking the far leg. A great counter to the shin whizzer is to slide the near leg underneath it and table the whizzer. That's what Burroughs does at 5:48, and it's (plus the drive you talk about) what allows him to come up to his feet with a tight grip on the ankle. Another cool thing happens at 12:02. Not only does Martinez get his whizzer with his left arm, he also uses his right arm to block Jordan's attempt to catch Martinez's right hip. Ton of great details in your video. I'm going to start making my wrestlers watch them. Yanni D is probably the best in the world with a shin whizzer right now. Would love to see that study!
I wrestled for 14 years and am making the transition to BJJ. Really impressed with your breakdowns... never saw anything quite like this in all my years of wrestling, and from a BJJ guy no less!

Really enjoy these videos man! As a Professional MMA fighter i'm always looking to improve my game, these breakdowns brought my wrestling along plenty this fight camp, keep these coming! #bacon
I never wrestled in school. I'm 38 and I'm just past my first year in jiujitsu, but I can't shoot singles or doubles for anything and this video had me drilling at 1 in the morning for a few minutes.
Always love your work. Love the details on how JB gets to the single. Why do you think he didn’t come up with the leg at first? Nice work bringing in the other match to show successful kick out technique.
How can he manage to shoot even if his opponent have a collor tie on him? When i try to do it , my oppenent redirect my attack into the mat using the collar tie.
It's in the level change. And when levels change it gives him just enough time and space for the hip drive of his back foot to get his weight underneath. He level changes off of the back foot for explosion. Sometimes you'll even him chop the arms in the process of the shot
Please don't stop these videos , I'm in high school and these help alot with my wrestling
Good work

@@sideegabdulla8570 how was your wrestling career?
DPS, you forgot the set ups. Burrough in this clip he had a collar tie and the opponent had too. This single didn't work without good set ups
Burroughs has one of the best single legs in the world, it just gets overlooked by his doubles.
Hipster Hippo he shoots singles more these days. Burroughs doesn’t hit the double as much as he used to
@Joseph Reed That is part of it, but he is also aging. I don't think his double is as explosive as it used to be.

@Joseph Reed Burroughs really should have beat him by at least 4 points. Seemed like he was disinterested in scoring for the majority of the match.
I love these videos just got in highschool and already I see that it's much different than middle school
Appreciate it homie
Thanks. Best of luck with your high school wrestling career! Let me know how it goes.
@@DPSBreakdowns thanks hopefully it will go good

Thank you sir for not putting annoying ducking music in your video. And explaining wrestling to me.
I never wrestled in school. I'm 38 and I'm just past my first year in jiujitsu, but I can't shoot singles or doubles for anything and this video had me drilling at 1 in the morning for a few minutes.
Chamizo's development in last few months has been outstanding. Can't wait for these guys to square off at YD this month.
you have true seeing
Great Video.
Love what you’re doing. The music is a tad too loud. Easily fixable while you’re mixing everything. Thanks!

An interesting breakdown would be on Spencer Lee's top riding and tilts. That would be dope
Great breakdown, I love these videos man. Can you do an Alex Dieringer breakdown? Specifically how he generates so much power?
Nice job as usual. Bonus for contrasting with JB 2016 match.
Thanks, Jim.
Can you cover whizzers? Like whizzer throws, whizzering from singles, etc
5:34 I would keep my hands locked and put my hips to the side, circle back and grave the other leg then drive
Rei higuchi side leg study and gasemipoor Iran best attack study plzz
And I expected a breakdown on the double
Is he the future Olympian coach for wrestling
Why do you think he shoots for that rear leg instead of the seemingly easier front leg?
6:55 boroughs mama do his hair or something?
Music???
How can he manage to shoot even if his opponent have a collor tie on him? When i try to do it , my oppenent redirect my attack into the mat using the collar tie.
He loosened it before he went down

Why does imar miss the belly roll?
Japanese please!!!!
