Thanks for the lesson! I’m a 54 year old guitar playing Def Leppard fan like you. Totally agree the first three albums rock. Have never really been a fan of the later albums. If you could do a lesson of Hello America or Answer to the Master I would appreciate it! Thank you for putting the time in for these videos and happy Christmas.
Cheers Jim. Yeah, those first 3 albums are killer - nothing against the other albums, which sound fantastic, but for me the best rocking stuff was in those early days. I have thought about those 2 tunes actually, especially "Answer to the Master" which has some superb riffing going on, I'll see what I can do. Appreciate you checking this one out. All the best for 2021.
I don't think I've ever heard Roadhouse, tbh. But I'll check them out. Bizarrely tho they were meant to playing the Venue in Edinburgh, probably late 80's? And the band I was in were booked as support. They pulled the gig tho - might have pulled the whole tour. So it never happened.
@@DunsysGuitarWorld Interesting. I know they were originally called "The Few" and played some shows in Spring 1990, but I wouldn't be surprised if they played shows earlier. Always wondered what Pete Willis did from 1982 to 1991 and after.
@@reddhole3422 it may well have been into 1990, now I think about it. They were definitely advertised as Roadhouse at that point, but I can’t remember why it was cancelled. I don’t remember any Edinburgh date ever being rearranged.
@@DunsysGuitarWorld I think the band had some issues in 1991. I also heard Pete didn't do some of the tour. Here is a link describing it. leppardtracks.com/pwillis/road_press_lg.jpg?fbclid=IwAR3P0z6LipovwPBXeSucphB-GbvAu-0lZfovKrwjzaY4wMSSCGcT214fozg I believe the record label dropped them in 1992 and the band fell apart sadly. It was not the time for that style of music.
Stop with the old guy because 👍 yes I am right there with you and WAY way prefer their 1st albums, good strait yet pithy rock, and fun, before the lame over choruses, and weak guitar riffs, ,,,,,,I have spoken
You're only as old as the guitar you play, that's what I say! Yeah, the first album still has that NWOBHM excitement and guitar riffs about it. Classic stuff indeed.
Well done , Thank you 🤘✊👍👌
Thanks for checking out the video, it's much appreciated.
Finally learned this after 2 years practicing it
Yeah, takes a wee while to get up to speed, this one!

@@DunsysGuitarWorld My pleasure :) More Stuff will come up for sure :)
You might find "New Horizon", "Stranger in Your Eyes" and "Desperation Calling" from Pete Willis' other band, Roudhouse, interesting.
