So I'm a part of the very small percentage of people who can be swayed by these debates; Grew up in a Republican environment but ideologically lean more left. As someone who wants to vote for the democratic party, I have a hard time supporting the party, and my major complaints about the candidates is that I'm not getting any facts or plans, It seems their talking points are focused on getting an emotional reaction from the viewers, It seems like to the democratic party this is just a press conference rather than an actual conversation. Also I wish That the Mediator would let them tangent a bit more, we are getting a lot fo great back and forth and i feel like the conversation kept getting cut off. i heard Kamala say "biden has a plan" a bunch, I WANT TO HEAR ABOUT THAT PLAN. 1. Repubclian don't make up half of the voting block, if you look through party registrations there are much more democrats. Repubclians can only make that up through independents, a voting group that Trump is currently losing.

Making up half of the voting block is important. You're correct of 48% to 46%, but right now Biden is constantly polling on more than 50%. That's something Hillary never managed to do. Polling above 50% is INCREDIBLY important, especially because the vote is much harder to suddenly swing this time. This election isn't about promises for Trump, it's about the past 4 years. The past 4 years absolutely made people hate him more. Right now he's probably more hated than he has ever been.

But I find it awfully revealing that some people's main takeaways from this was that Kamala is smug because she made a few faces, rather than the fact that Pence hardly stayed on topic or followed the time limits. So I'm a part of the very small percentage of people who can be swayed by these debates; Grew up in a Republican environment but ideologically lean more left. As someone who wants to vote for the democratic party, I have a hard time supporting the party, and my major complaints about the candidates is that I'm not getting any facts or plans, It seems their talking points are focused on getting an emotional reaction from the viewers, It seems like to the democratic party this is just a press conference rather than an actual conversation. Also I wish That the Mediator would let them tangent a bit more, we are getting a lot fo great back and forth and i feel like the conversation kept getting cut off.
