    So I listened to this, for 2 nights in a row. The following Sunday I drove to upstate NY with a friend and back. The anxiety was way better. Maybe only 10% over bridges and I only drive about 60-65 mph. But I did it without having to pull over and regroup! I did repeat, I’m a calm confident driver probably 50 times while driving. So proud of me!!

    • @1stdrive
      @1stdrive  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      This is gold dust! Can you see how much you've said in this message that shows you what the problem is? You may not even realise is but this is what leads to a massive breakthrough.
      "It can't hurt to try". How would it hurt if it did? What makes hurting a bad thing? What are you "trying" and not doing? What makes you want failure by only trying? What do you gain from failure? What makes you only hope for the best and not get it? Which part of providing for your family isn't important enough that it wants to be?
      And that's just from a short message!

    I've got my licence since 2020 but Iast time I drove was exactly 1 year ago due to anxiety.
    I just don't understant why because I always enjoyed driving and it wasn't a problem for me.. Until I had this anxious thoughs of danger and I eventually developed a fear of "what if?" . And that was it, it got worst by the time.
    I trully want to drive again, hopefully this will help me to understand this anxiety and to learn how to rethink.

      Parking is different on your own to when learning. It's not done in a realistic way on tests which doesn't help. In 20 years I've had one test where they did it between 2 cars, all the others they've picked huge easy gaps. They can definitely improve on that!

    I have always suffered with anxiety and Panick attacks. Was under control for some years however..... Since about September I had a huge panic attack walking back from a shop. Since then I have had an awful time of anxiety and panic attacks which is getting worse and worse. It's now happening when I drive (which is so strange as my car was always my get away and safe space). I used to be such a happy and confident driver and was able to drive long distances around the country. Now I'm petrified!! I hate it. It's more when I get to main roads, traffic lights or have to stop somewhere whilst driving. Its ruining my life. A) will this video stop this from happening? B) is it OK for me to listen, I'm diagnosed ADHD, Mild autism and generalised anxiety

      Hey, are you feeling better? I have the same problem. In February of last year I randomly had bad panic attack while driving and I actually could not drive home at all, my sister had to take a bus to me to get me back home. Since then I haven’t been able to drive at all. Has anything helped you? Thanks

    • @1stdrive
      @1stdrive  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      These panic attacks may seem random but they aren't. In fact, they're anything but random! They are very targeted and specific to events in your life.
      Each of you here had an attack because something happened when driving that reminded you of a past event which your mind is now associating with driving. Every time you drive you're reliving that old memory but you will have no idea what the memory is; that's why you have the problem.
      You now have the following program running in your mind:
      "Driving=(past memory). Solution=panic like I did in this past memory because that kept me safe back then so it will now."
      No matter what you do, you won't shake the problem without discovering that memory and disconnecting it from driving. No amount of affirmations or someone telling you to feel calm will do anything. You may never know what happened to trigger this and the good news is you don't have to. You just need to find what it was with professional help.
      Tracks like this will never fix a problem like that because it isn't about feeling relaxed and calm. The more you do that, the more the problem fights back. The only way is to work through is professionally and discover exactly what's causing it.

    • @1stdrive
      @1stdrive  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    • @1stdrive
      @1stdrive  4 ปีที่แล้ว +5

      Some say it does work when you fall asleep and others say it doesn't. It's less likely to work because you need to interact with hypnosis for it to be effective: it's not a passive thing as people think. Change the word "can't" in your last sentence to "will" and keep saying that to yourself!

      Hypnosis is big in sports but it's used under different names because of the stigma some attach to hypnosis. There's a certain famous footballer who uses it to take free kicks with great success. He puts the ball down, walks back and puts his hands on his hips...that's using hypnosis to enter a state. It's also why you see people, including F1 drivers, doing rituals like always wearing the same shoes or the same socks.

    When trying to relax with the light beam it felt really good and relaxing then when I got to my neck/shoulders I suddenly had a weird jerky feeling like a flash of an image of a drawn heart and hands on my throat, it was very fleeting. I tried to carry on but the strange sensation bothered me and I didnt feel completely relaxed. I was able to finish the session but couldnt help my mind wandering to what it could have been. What was this? Also, in anxious people, is it harder to relax and avoid intrusive thoughts in hypnosis and is there a way to stop this?

    Does this help with Amaxophobia - fear of being a passenger in a car ?

    • @1stdrive
      @1stdrive  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      No because that's not the problem. You'll only fix any driving problem when you find what the problem really is, and it's never anything to do with driving.

    I have a problem that I have read it saying if one imagine a bad situation with fear in hypnosis state, it can become true according to the law of attraction theory, after hearing that all ways when i try to calm down my mind negative fear thought popup. if anyone knows how to over come this pls hepl

    • @1stdrive
      @1stdrive  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      That's not true because just imagining something won't make it real. If I imagine a million pounds in my bank account when I'm in hypnosis will it happen? The law of attraction is misunderstood and it's not as simple as just thinking of something and it happens.

    Does this work for a bike rider

    • @1stdrive
      @1stdrive  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yes, it'll work for anything but it's meant to help and won't necessarily get rid of the problem completely.

      I keep meaning to do videos about bikes but it's all the same thing, it's nothing to do with the bike.

    If you have bad addiction this is not gonna work for some one

    • @1stdrive
      @1stdrive  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Correct, this is just a light introduction. You need professional therapy for anything addiction related because that goes far deeper.
