Just get the Heat Lightning power steering pump delete and then loop your lines and run manual steering. I did it to mine and it works great. And if you really want power steering after that them run a Volvo electric power steering pump. The stock JZ power steering pumps are junk anyway
Yeah, don't do this unless you're jank and lazy. Run powersteering because its nice to have, If you're lazy and don't want to figure it out which will ultimately will be a reflection of your build, then go ahead and delete powersteering. There's a ridiculous amount of NA-T IS300s running a FFIM, same with GTE swaps. It's not rocket science to make it work.
@@TeraaHD wait till this guy finds out that HKS did the same thing on the Altezzas they built. But I guess HKS builds "janky" cars right? And no it's not hard but not everyone has to build their car the way you think it should be built. And side note since making my previous comment I have put a Volvo hydroelectric power steering pump in the trunk and my car is power steering again just not with the terrible factory 2j power steering pump which are prone to failure. I've seen guys go through 2 OEM 2j power steering pumps in a single event because the bearings in them are not designed to see sustained 8000rpm which the JZ engines can handle.
@@WoodrowsWheels Hey genius, we're talking about a 2.0L 4cyl with no PS, versus an overweight JZ in the engine bay. There's no comparison. I've seen JZ powersteering pumps last a long time, and fail first lap. Obviously they're finicky, but a majority of people are buying reman autozone PS pumps and complaining about part failure when we all know they use cheap china parts.
@@TeraaHD genius my car is a factory manual slick top IS with a lot of things gutted from it. The curb weight of my IS is around 3000lbs and the curb weight of a 3sge Altezza is 2950lbs. I also love how you keep glossing over the fact that in both of my comments I mentioned using electric power steering over the stock pump. You're arguing over looped P/S lines being janky with someone who briefly mentioned them.
