More impressive to me is this dude is hands down the greatest skate teacher of all time. His SkateIQ channel is leagues above any other online skateboard class. The way he can watch someone skate and diagnose why they cant land a trick and breaks it down into the simplest most important movements. This dudes the best for a reason and it shows in his teaching.
Update: Mitchie has now amazingly landed a 1260 and now skydives constantly! He’s part of a team called IFLY that shows off how skateboarding and flying compliment each other. :)
@@EyedMite that's even better than someone doing something they're afriad to do but they do it anyway that's courage :-) He isn't boy any more he's a man now but I think he's good role model for anyone
No doubt - you know he was told to bring his skateboard out with him (which is dumb) and he still gives simple honest answers. One of skaters’ biggest pet peeves is someone who knows nothing or cares about skating trying to make a buck off of it. Conan here clearly knows nothing about skating, but at least he had the common sense to ask common sense questions AND not try and make Mitchie look foolish. I thought the interview went well all around. No matter what anyone outside of skating thinks of skating, everyone knows just by looking at it that the mega ramp is no joke. 👍🏼
Started getting Mitchie's youtube channel recommended to me via shorts. Had no idea how accomplished he is. Was initially impressed how good of a teacher he is.
SAME, came across skateiq and was like wow this is the best skate teacher I’ve ever seen. Then later realize he’s the first dude to land both 1080 and 1260 in competition! Hes the best and it shows in his 1on1 teaching. Really love that his skateiq channel is all about learning to skate and not at all about who he is, what hes accomplished or inflating his ego. Mad respect to him for that.
Not only is he well-spoken for a young skateboarder, he also seems really humble and down to earth. He doesn't come off as a douchebag like many skaters.
He actually is pretty well spoken compared to some other young skateboarders :D Usually it sounds like this: You know, it's was cool I guess but whatever...... Mitchie Brusco really seems like a bright guy.
For those who dont know, most of skateboarding is sponsoring. There is no nfl for skating. So saying that he's "whoring out" to rockstar for being sponsored by them because he is talented at what he does, shows that you have no idea what youre talking about.
Yo i remember you from TheLaughFactor channel. It was a video with an asian comedian on it and you responded to a comment saying "That he is a 70s black guy". Idk how i remember you man. loool
There are competitions with money and prizes. I know Rob Dyrdek is working on a skate league, but unlike other singles sports like Tennis or Golf, I don't think the following is quite there to offer up such large prizes. But in all singles sports really the bulk of the income comes from sponsorship like you said otherwise most couldn't support themselves.
You realize without endorsements some athletes wouldn't even be able to go professional? I had a friend who tore a ligament and Nike pulled their endorsement from her so she couldn't be in the olympics and that is because she couldn't get sponsored from any company. It sucks but its the reality of athletes in all major sports.
Believe it or not, many 16 year olds have many other priorities than mastering grammar. As well, public speaking is an art form that many never master. This kid is cool and calm and speaking well, something that thousands of people fail to do well... Now stop asking stupid ass questions.
Yes, I do. Why did you say something so asinine as that if you meant something so different? The internet is not the place for nuanced, brief sarcastic comments.
“idk if i want to” lands the 1260
"rather than just spinning and spinning another 180" *proceeds to do exactly that*

you know Ifly is a Indoor skydiving company and he just gets sponsored by them.
It’s funny because he is afraid of heights !

This kid is humble and makes him ever greater
Awesome
yea my cousin was friends with him in high school and apparently he was a great kid

Same!
I think it's insane he can teach street skating very well, but is primarily known as a vert skater.
Same here
Love his skateiq vids. Mitche is an amazing teacher and crazy to see he been making xgames history several times over.
He's very mature for his age, I expected him to be cocky but he is far from it. He's a good kid
Why’s you expect that
@@awakehurtado2981 Because of people like Justin Bieber
Yeah you can do more; a 1260
he did a 1260 the year you posted this comment lol, also at the X Games
pffft, when I was 16 I was making 2060's on tony hawk...
Hes gonna be like the 2010s kids version of 1990s kids Tony Hawk
Not only is he well-spoken for a young skateboarder, he also seems really humble and down to earth. He doesn't come off as a douchebag like many skaters.
He's way more down to earth than what I expected him to be. Shame on me.
Kid is awesome. He looks so comfortable on the show.
He is now killing it as a skateboard coach! Can't stop watching his SkateIQ channel.
He actually did more
And he landed it like he was doing those for years... that's some shit!
Love watching these, they are not too long but still enjoyable.
hahahaha lmfao this kid checked out Conan's butt lol
How can a young wimpy goofy normal looking kid be sooo talented...he's truly blessed, good for him.
He looks a total geek, but he has an awesome skill with a lot of balls seems a nice lad ,good luck to him ,keep safe.
that milkshake was so random.. lol
Now I want to know what a peanut butter milkshake tastes like.
He actually is pretty well spoken compared to some other young skateboarders :D Usually it sounds like this: You know, it's was cool I guess but whatever...... Mitchie Brusco really seems like a bright guy.
i can do that. hold my beer.
He’s got to be 25 by now. Time really flies!
it would have been funny if they invited him back, and then he was like "yeah I did more"
I wish that Conan was my dad!
I met him at xgames Austin, he’s a great skater and a even better Pearson
He seems humble and cool
His smile and laugh..
This kid is legend.
this kid is adorable!!!
He also changed X-Games history.

Almost Skateboards and Rockstar Energy Drink
When mitchie brusco says he doesnt want to go further and then 6 years later lands the 1260
Now we are gonna have Mitchie Brusco video games. :3
Definitely an impressive feat. Great kid and he accomplished something great. Not at all hating on the kid. Just surprising where Conan has come.
Crazy many spins
What a legend
True, same with Mitchie. He was the first to land the 1080 in competition, but Tom Schaar landed one before him (not in competition).
WOW this is the SkateIQ guy???
Dude seems sorted
Good one!
Yo i remember you from TheLaughFactor channel. It was a video with an asian comedian on it and you responded to a comment saying "That he is a 70s black guy". Idk how i remember you man. loool
You do realize Tony was not even the first person to do this.
haha rockstar is completely owning this kid right now hahaha
Ive meet him before, ive stayed in contact with him before and used to have him as a friend on xbox
what was he like?
@@Compl.exemotions mlg kid, no joke

looks like rockstar already sponsors him
I think he's very good company.
I can do that, while holding my beer.
Say that to any gold medal winner at the X games and see what happens.
Cool and smart kid
This kid is cool!
THE HAT!!
I think he ripped off the Pilko Pump Pant !!!
The sponsor (Rockstar) must have told him to cause it has the ad on the back
I can do that, hold my beer.
Yes he can.
I wonder who's sponsoring him...
"ramp it up" i see what you did there conan
Awesome! he makes it look so easy... Tony's 900 he was so serious. Weird to see skateboarding on TV like this.
Man, I'm really craving a rockstar.
You can tell he is going through pewpurty
David Rich he's 20 now
We all have to go thru that embarrassing stage.
2012: 900 2013: 1080 2019:1260
Me in 2013: he is too young to end his career
seems like a nice kid. keep it up.
It's called being sponsored sir. Skateboards and skateboard clothes are really expensive.
No. He owns Rockstar. Lol.
Skating and Crusing is dangerous. I love it but always end up hurt especially with Downhill
great kid, best of luck to him
Does anyone know who sponsors this kid?
You do it first. All I can say is good luck:)
everyone laughs to much when they're nervous.
I think Rockstar may have sponsored this kid?
and...i just landed an ollie north...soo.theres that..
He looks like Shia Labeouf !!
He looks like that kid from Transformers, only younger
safety's first, kids!
He reminds me of the 12 year olds at my old school. Now going into high school at 14 with a voice 10 times lower than his
yea true dat
i landed a 2560... on my rendering settings in adobe premiere

I think he was sponsored by Red bull...
Wonder who his sponsor is..

you know what will be amazing....a 1080 combined with a double pits to chesty
he's 20 right now!?!?

And we thought tony Hawks the best 😂
neo sarangay tony hoax?
Yeah, somebody has to pay him for traveling.
Will mou you can't even drop into a vert ramp
I can do that.....just my.....my knee hurts and I dont want too
I went on a 300 FOOT SHAKY TOWER. And he is afraid of 90 feet. I'm scared of heights too, and I'm only 13
Eric Kolchinskiy did you ride off it
