    Awesome video dude. I am a music producer as well and I’m tired of paying rent in California. I like you set up. Thanks for the motivation.

    Finally a van build that doesn’t look like a log cabin. LOL!
    Nice design. Simple and functional.

    I'll just tell you what I told everyone else with a chevy van. Nice build. That's not all. It's a chevy so get the corvette or the escalade engine. That's not for horsepower or speed that's actually for fuel economy. Then get a rear auto locking or LSD if you don't already have one. Adjustable height suspension. you can skip that part. Nissan leaf battery modules. You can't skip that part. A thread ripper desktop PC. Nvidia shield pro to turn your monitor into a smart tv. The leaf battery will let you power things for long times without solar including the vans A/C if you reroute it as well to counteract relying on your insolation to regulate temperature. Then your build will be on ultimate status and then no one can tell you shyt. That way when people say "Dope van dude, when are you going to get a spinter?" you can be like "for what?".

    9:07 You have a "Fantastic" vent fan..........Nice build. Working on my express build w/music studio now. I'm thinking of having my midi controller slide out like a computer keyboard. sub!

      LOL that is the actual model of the fan! Love to hear you're building a van too. Looking forward to seeing it. sliding keyboard is a good idea but you have to make sure the clearance is good since the ceiling isn't that high. Not a whole lot of space to make sure you can still sit at the desk comfortably

    Best part about the water pump noise is you'll want to turn off the water fast

    Looks great! Would love to know your budget for this build :)

      Thank you! The van was $4000 and the build was about $3000. this was also before the pandemic so those numbers would be a little higher today. I also went with an older van and have had to put a decent amount into mechanical repairs. Just something to consider.

    hi. cool van! i am doing somehting similar in my ambulance :) could you give me some pointers please on your monitors setup please? i was thinking 12v amp into passive mini monitors to avoid using the inverter. I am struggling to find some decent mini passive monitors though. Would love if you could share some wisdom! Thank you!

      Hey! My speakers are powered plugged into my inverter and I get a constant buzz when they are powered on. This was something I was prepared for but wasn't super concerned about. its really not that bad. As for as passive with an Amp, I'm not too sure. I would imagine the amp will draw a little more power than the powered speakers, but it could work if you have a big 12V system in the build.

      @@Johnnyinthevan hi! thanks for the reply. that seems like how most people go about it. i want to avoid AC because of power efficiency and 60cycle hum. i would expect the dc amp to be more efficient because it bypasses the inverter. as to the extra noise; it may be 60 cycle hum, in which case i'm not sure what you can do. i have aften wondered about how static will affect noise too seeing as a van isn't a "true" ground because of the tyres! you could try simply having a wire that you drop to the ground under the van when you're parked. i don't know if it will work but it might! let me know how it goes please because i'm very curious! cheers

      also is it a pure sin wave inverter? i imagine that could make a difference if the amp is supposed to receive a smooth curve

    Do you deal with humidity issues effecting your electronics at all? Do you recommend something for that?

    • @Johnnyinthevan
      @Johnnyinthevan  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Not really. But the changing temperature in general is always tough to manage. The electronics seem to be holding up. Im on the west coast now so its hot during the day and cold at night. But not really humid
