  • At NAMM we ran into music manager Christine Hufenbecher and sound engineer Kenny Moran who showed us their new concept called Mobile Sessions: A 30ft vehicle equipped with top of the line recording gear. Of cause, we had to get that on film!
    In the next video you can see how Kenny Moran uses the Icon Series to add effects to a funk guitar jam played by Serg Dimitrijevic and Morris O'Connor from Earth, Wind & Fire: • Earth, Wind & Fire Gui...

    This setup is simply nuts! Who needs a bed, I'll simply sleep on the floor 😄

    Wow, this is so ridiculously cool. As a producer/mixing engineer I’ve been really wanting to build a mobile studio for years so I’m not chained to my gear in one location. While I wouldn’t be able to build something on this scale, it’s so cool to see what’s possible to aspire towards!

    Would have liked to have seen the electrical set up it takes to power that

    Great video! Any suggestions for soundproofing one room for audiobook work?

      Hey! Thanks for looking. Yes it was a pretty penny. It took 9 months to design and build with a few trial and errors along the way. If you're in the LA area you can come and check it out: www.gomobilesessions.com

    Nice studio dude! I am currently building my own van studio, I’ve just bought it yesterday! And now I’m trying to figure out how what do I need to do for it to make it soundproof, so I can record vocals without interference from the outside ir bouncing sounds from the inside. I’m finding this researchquite overwhelming, there is a lot of information online but not very specific. I’m on a budget and I don’t know what exactly I need for this. I’m specially confused about sound deadening streets, do I need them? Or are they only for the car to not rattle while driving? Maybe you could tell me about it. Thank you.

      It'd be a weird situation that you'd need to record vocals while driving, but if you're going to be recording anywhere where there's noise, soundproofing is gonna be a must for vocals. I'm seeing if I can get away with just one of those head boxes since I do DI for everything else anyway.

    Did you use a reference 4 ? I feel that wall at your left will really make your mixes uneven?

    maybe they could add a wells cargo trailer and stuff the drummer in there-just throw him a bottle of water and some leftovers every once in a while but keep him chained to his drum kit and voila you could get free drum tracks whenever you wanted

    What about recording live acoustic drums? Can it be done

    • @kennymoran5386
      @kennymoran5386 4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      That is a great and consistent question that we get all the time. As you can see there doesn't appear to be room to track drums internally. BUT yes we can. Most of the studio is completely modular meaning the entire synth production room can be changed or modified for its use in about 15 minutes. Same for the lounge area. Now, Im not going to say we can fit a Simon Phillips kit in here, but we can do smaller kits. If you're in the LA area you can come and check it out: www.gomobilesessions.com
