Mental that you've been to some of the biggest matches / stadiums in the world - but it's videos like this that focus on local teams are always the best
Actually madness that I have been an official there last season it ended 0-17. I have to say the chairman was an absolute joy to speak to so lovely and down to earth and provided an excellent service to us officials. Proper local football club the whole team was so respectful and kept going every second of the game until the final whistle even when there was no hope. Love videos like this highlighting the lower leagues just people enjoying football and loving their local club.
Lower League football is amazing. Some guys meet in a random field in between some villas, the benches arrige being towed by some dudes car. For me, a portuguese bloke, it's great to see the enthusiasm of this boys.
This has to be one of the better footy channels. I'm a 40 year old bloke and these videos are so good to see. You bring a lot of eyes onto these small local teams when you do the videos like this, and they're always really sweet and endearing. Also can you just go watch Manchester City every week for the rest of the season so they get the AwayDays curse? Thanks.
These young lads just playing for the love of football. Absolute heroes and everyone involved in the club. Whoever we all support this vlog certainly puts our own results into perspective a bit. Well done Ellis, Ben and John for shining a positive spotlight on them, irrespective of the result. 👏 👏 👏 B E L I E V E 👍

This was said before here, but your local club videos are what makes me subscribe to your channel. It feels more authentic and unique especially as a new fan of football. Cheers and God bless Ellis and your team!
I follow a level 11 non league side home and away and absolutely love it. I cannot abide top level football and wouldn't go if you paid me to watch it. Great video!
its crazy that this channel does not get millions of views and subscribers. The quality, the editing and how likeable he is 10x better than half of the content out on yt rn.
As much as I love the visits to grounds of professional teams abroad, it's non league coverage like this that stand out for me. Phenomenal stuff again, lads, so many laughs in this one 😂
As a member of a team who lost every game last season ending the season with a GD of -61 and only scoring 2 goals all season, I feel the pain of this team. It was really our club and supporters who got us through even when everything was quite dismal
“Almost took his eye out” “I got my glasses” “3 left!” I love the natural chemistry Away Days has with production, humor and how they deal with situations. As an American who’s never been to Europe, these videos are gold. Such good content

Reminds me of german team Burgbrohl. A few years ago they were in the 5th division but due to financial problems most players left. So they had a new team mostly of youth players. They ended their season with a single draw and results such as 0-25
@@alexmcghee73 how is it unnecessary at all. I didn’t like him in this video, came across a bit awkward and not as good as the other guests. I’m entitled to that opinion and not framing it as abusive at all?
Turns out you can actually be whelmed. It’s just not a word you hear much these days! Originally, it meant to be engulfed or overcome by something, usually water. Eventually, we started saying overwhelmed to describe an even greater intensity of that feeling. So technically, it exists, but sounds a bit old-fashioned now. It’s funny how we hear underwhelmed and overwhelmed all the time, but whelmed just got lost in the middle somewhere! 😄

Really enjoyed this video and now subscribed. Love non-league football. Went to watch Gateshead for 24 years before it became too expensive. Now a season ticket holder for Hebburn Town. I try and get to the odd local North East non league team when i get a chance. My most local club Washington are doing terrible this season and have been going backwards at an alarming rate since they were forced to leave Albany Park. Might be worth doing a visit/video about them sometime if you would like a suggestion for future content 👍
Just wondering how you managed to learn of Sturminister Marshalls’s existence because I used to tell people at college I had family there but they didn’t know it existed 😎 Cheers for putting it on the map Ellis.
I got a bit of a soft spot for Stur during the Covid years as you could watch them, they couldn’t really enforce behind closed doors 😂 Watched stur a few times last season as they’re fairly local to me, almost felt honoured to see them score two goals! They had a really good side the season before, finished midtable and made it to the league cup final, but the majority of the team hung up their boots at the same time and the club were effectively left with no choice but to throw an under 18 boys team into the Dorset premier league, against experienced sides with ambitions of getting up to step 6. Deserve a lot of credit for making it through the season, plenty of teams have given up for less.
After hearing those score lines I’m thinking “no way a group of men are allowing this to happen to them” sure enough they played with a bunch of under 16s😂😂😂 makes so munch sense. Come On Minster!!!!
I’m glad you got to talk to them about why they were so bad. Hopefully the young guys get the experience they need to play better and climb back up the pyramid a bit.

Lymington Town FC Ellis. Lymington FC was the original club and Portland Panthers is not connected to Portland United FC. They play opposite them at Grove Corner on the open Recreation ground.
