Instant classic, one of the best awaydays if not THE best. The mascot being a fan of awaydays, Exeter fans bringing the energy, the fan saying he’s gonna off himself, the penalty save, the certificate, the Exeter fans arguing with a player and just the whole vibe of blackpool. Absolute all time classic video, cheers Ellis
Ellis, I'm the "Dry Pastry Guy" and think I've got the best method ... upside down, inside first, crispy top last which is coated with a little spread of filling ... no mess, end with the best bit! SCONES:Cream1ST, PIES:Inside1ST 😁 . Also, Jon Beer is a legend, love the MNFC POD and someone tell Dave Q11 should've stayed in because going to Away Days is the best advice!
I don't eat it quite the same way - but I definitely eat the inside of the pie first. Good pie pastry is freaking delicious, and I like to save the best for last!
Blackpool isn’t really a violent place, it’s just a tourist destination for traditionally working class people. And as with any tourist destination, you just naturally end up with more crime because the tourists are often very drunk and at the same time you get more people trying to scam them. Meanwhile if you’re a local or just someone going about your day it’s a perfectly safe place like basically any other British town.
Went to Blackpool the weekend before you Ellis, walked into what was apparently the best pub in Blackpool. Within 2 minutes there was a guy threatening the barman with a pool cue... Kinda set the tone for the whole weekend
Afternoon. Part of the family who do the mascot at Blackpool (brother messaged you on instagram). Make sure you get that certificate in a frame! Was a pleasure meeting you and Ben, hope you had a decent trip!
As a reporter on Sunday newspapers in the late 1980s/early 1990s football violence was viscerally real. I know I saw it. Better policing (primarily keeping known trouble makers apart/banning orders/etc, have changed the picture and (I hope) the younger generations are more interested in the beautiful game than a melee. But football-related violence was (and is) a thing.
I think it’s the CCTV that’s everywhere that stops a lot of it from happening. A lot harder to go and have a scrap at the football and get away with it than it was 40 years ago
769 violent crimes per 10k residents is insane. I live in a town that’s considered bad, and it only had 229 violent crimes last year and I’m in Florida and they are almost equal in population
Ellis and Ben that was simply a laugh and great video. Just gets better. Those Exeter fans with their beach shirts cracked me up, and your pre game look at Blackpool was a killer. There are videos on TH-cam also showing the plight of Blackpool as a resort, because they have lost sight of the times. Grimsby, once the worlds, yes the worlds no1 fishing port, is the same. Luckily, a few towns in england have realised that they just cannot live in the past. One of your funniest videos so far
As a Millwall fan, I just want to say, this is one of the best football Vlogs I’ve ever watched. Well done lads. You made me laugh. Keep up the good work. Love the humour. COYLs. 🦁🦁🦁
From the many times ive been to blackpool I've never found the people who live their any more violent than in any other town. Most of the violence comes from the visitors who drink excessively and cause problems galore, especially in hot summer months.
Hiya mate as a Blackpool season ticket holder I would not call Blackpool violent , disappointed as i didn’t see u at the match and the Bloomfield bear is number 53 because we won the fa cup in 1953 👍
This has to be one of the funnest football blogs Ive seen in years. Fair play to you guys for bigging it up. On the violence side I take the light heart humour and the sensational titles, its all about click bait and getting subscribers and likes. Good to see what you put up as an adventure as if we just relied on the football the you might just get 60 seconds worth. Anyway well fine keep it going and maybe your make a million subscribers one day... I did all of this sort of thing 40+ years ago, I'm now chilling out in Asia content on watching you guys earning your stripes.... in my time, violence was at every corner, that just as it was way back then... good vid worth several laughs
As a Rangers fan, I have always liked Blackpool due to our close ties, their history, and passionate fans. I usually only follow the SPFL and J.LEAGUE but I've watched every Blackpool game since 2021. Probably my most favourite awayday video so far.

I'm glad you were proved wrong about blackpool, to be fair the area you stayed is absolutely horrid but when you travel 5 mins away from that area its a nice place with good people those stats are probably the town centre alone... glad you had a good trip mate 👏
Blackpool crime rate is also higher then London but it also depends what area you go to also the popular english seaside rock sweets apparently come from Blackpool
Panionios is a Greek team and is playing on third devision. They used to be good and had an amazing youth facilities. Then didnt have money to carry on and they got relegated.

As someone who has lived in and around Blackpool my whole life, I feel very safe here living in a nicer part of the suburbs. The violent crimes here are often linked to drinking related tourism and this is typically around the town centre. If you spent a night on the promenade you’d see all sorts of sights and you could find trouble if you went looking for it! As a local that knows the town well though, there’s lots of nice places to live around the fylde coast and I don’t plan to move any time soon. However, there are also areas with major issues around poverty, particularly child poverty, that’s another story entirely and a big failing of local and national government not tackling it and allowing it to fester. In terms of BFC match days, there’s plenty of tourist pubs I’d avoid on any day, especially a match day, and many I’ve deliberately never been in. That said, I go to a lot of games and never see any trouble in the home end, or the in the supporters club that we go in for a pint before, it’s always been a good atmosphere. Blackpool has more than its fair share of problems, but there’s a lot of positives too if you’re looking for them.
I would imagine most problems would occur in the high season in Blackpool, you would get a lot of groups of lads out getting pissed up & from different parts of the country. Blackpool & Torquay are the biggest seaside resorts in Britain & are very busy between June -september,the rest of the year these are ghost towns with nothing much going on & most things are closed,I don't believe it's got much to do do with football.
As much as I hate Exeter as an Argyle fan their away fans are on par with ours for their support and how loud they are, it’s the only thing I’ll ever give them.
I've lived in Blackpool for 14 years....I've seen 1 fight in a pub in that whole time 🤣🤣 if you do actually want a chance of seeing violence in Blackpool...come back for a Blackpool Vs Preston game that's definitely the worst rivalry I've heard of alot of shit happen around that fixture

I went last year first time going as my friend moved there and i quite enjoyed it more then i thought i would
This. And given there's virtually no tourists there in January, Blackpool is virtually empty and very safe.
Clickbait title sneering at the northern working class.
Offer me Blackpool over parts of London every day of the week!
Problem with that theory is that most of the violent crime I hear about comes from locals
