Cyclops was my favorite X-Men on virtue of leadership. Too often they wrote him to be a terrible leader and extremist and I hate that. He's a flawed and complex man than many give him credit for. I would like for him to go back to that. I never needed him to be brutal like Wolverine or cool like Gambit and Nightcrawler. Or super smart like Beast. Cause his job is to guide them. And rely in their strengths.
He's the back bone of the x-men. Him being kind of a square helps the more bombastic characters shine but also acts as a good foil to them too. I don't know why writers started framing him as an extremist. Could be marvel being edgy with a character who's normally considered a "boy scout"
Cyclops has never been my favorite either. I think in just never liked his Jim Lee costume with the hair hanging out. I did really enjoy him on the new Xmen 97 which surprised me.
@frankchoartist or like a by the rules stick in the mud. Or his whole arc with Madelyn Pryor didn't leave him looking in such a good light. Thanks for the video. Always fun seeing you draw. Also thanks for mentioning Paul Smith. I haven't looked at his work in ages. Totally underrated.
Very Nice . This drawing reminds me of Paul Smith .. Great Job Frank
I love the way you render outfits such as leather or in general.
I hope you get to unwind soon after your busy schedule, sir! 🙏🏻💆🏻♀️

Yeah, writers in general always wrote him as a mediocre character or a extremist. Not very appealing.

They didn't let Frank Cho WRITE AND DRAW She-Hulk because she wasn't popular
This can only make sense if they wanted her to stay unpopular
