Brushes: used to clean off rust
Sponges: can clean up any non-rusted parts
Magical C$m cleaner: can clean body parts like the sponge
Magic cleaner also restores tires btw

So true. I really enjoy this series and i feel like 45 mins or 1 hour long vids would really do it justice

Exactly, no way did it feel like 28 minutes, I could have sat watching for another couple of hours easily!! When I clicked on his first Long Drive video I actually thought "this looks like it's going to be boring" but it draws you in!!!

@@jonchandler6767 so true! I barely know anything about the game, learning along with him makes it enjoyable.
Keep the siphon in your inventory because its janky on the ground or when you drop it! It's super useful if you want to transfer fuel between any containers, I use it when switching between cars to swap the fluids between things.

@@stuartmcgregor7552 it's ok. i came across a bus in my play through too. you can't open the doors to get in it and it doesn't have any other pieces you can open or dismount or anything. however it does have physics so maybe they plan to add it as a working vehicle at some point. that'd be pretty neat. tons of storage.
@@Subreon There is a secret button on the underside of the bus that can be used to open the door.

I loved watching the first episode so much that i bought and played the game! Here's what I've learned that I think would be useful for you:
-Press TAB when holding an item to rotate it into a "default" position, which can help when you're trying to maneuver something into a car.
-Your bladder can be used to store any liquid, as the player is not effected by it. You can store up to 1L of oil, fuel, or water and with some good aim it can be released into containers or tanks.
-Weight of items does effect the way a car handles, so moving fuel tanks or items around to distribute weight can help a ton.
-You do not need to be in your vehicle to sleep at night.
-While in your vehicle, hold Q and move the mouse/scroll wheel around to alter your driving position, this can help with avoiding sun glare.
-Batteries do not have levels so you can leave the lights on outside/inside the car.
-Brushes do not restore paint, only rust, so picking up and using sponges will remove the crustiness that the brush cannot
Just some useful tips I picked up while playing the game, hopefully they help you in the next episode! :)

That "thing" at 12:35 is called "Gáz palack" It's a gas tank, it holds a good amount of propane-butane (PB) gas. It's used in households to cook or warming rooms. Ohh and....it is highly flammable :)
Edit: At 22:51 I think that was a pipe to get fuel (or other things) out from the fuel tank of vehicles, but I'm not sure.

Important trick: that wheel you put inside the trailer has a perfect condition tyre, you should have a look and use it to replace oneof the bad ones on the car. With four good tyres the car becomes much easier to control. You can use the spray polish to fix tyres, too.

The reason you couldnt pickup the can was because of the cobwebs. Use a duster to remove it.
(Also theres a lot more loots at the home base. -brushes, sponges etc.)
Need more of this madness, also love how the suspension sags in the arse when you hooked up the trailer and loaded it.

Why do I see this turning into some kind of meme
Alex I watched another guy play this for a bit and he used the wire brushes for rust, sponges for washing and there is apparently spray wax to make things shiny. He also demonstrated in his second video how to use the hose when he swapped out his radiator for a nicer one. Although he lost some water due to the container he was draining into falling over. His TH-cam was SkapeGote if you want to see how he was doing things.
Please do make a continuation of this. It's a simple game, but interesting. I really want to see more of it.

Pink is actually very good at desert camouflage, look it up, the SAS used it :)))
A good way to find if your going the right way is the power lines need to be on the right side of the road I think it might be the left though but they are always on the same side of the road

potholes are made by rain. It doesnt rain in the desert. So desert roads should be fairly low maintanence.

Potholes are usually the result of water softening the roads foundation, and wear caused by everyone turning at the same point. Less an issue in deserts.
Good thing the road is paved though, desert dirt roads can be rough as guts. There's some higheways in Austrtalia that are washboard for hundreds of kilometres.
You can drive the UFO apparently, I just got rec9mended a video, the autopilot parks it. And if u hop in u can change speed and stuff
I've played this game for 12 hours after your last video, here's what I've learned:
1. Always keep you car pointed in the correct direction when parking
2. Wagons will allow you to take out the seats, making them a perfect choice for those who carry large amounts of gear
3. Keep spare tires and coolant parts if possible. If these are lost your car is useless.
4. Don't run over rabbits. They can glitch your vehicle into oblivion and they generally get knocked out even if your car is standing still
5. Food and health is important, you'll die if you don't do the basics by the second day.
can you start taking stuff with you? like the sword, and the gas bottle and the bike? i assume you can use them later in the game!!!

Hey failrace you can use the silver tanks with the red line and use it as fuel and get a full tank just don't shoot it hope this helps oh and If you want to save fuel I think u can turn off the car and still drive saves fuel
Pink is actually a good desert camouflage because it blends in with all colours of sand better, hence the "Pink Panther" Land Rovers the SAS used to tool around in.

Fun fact: in the 1950's the SAS painted their desert recon land rovers light pink. Turns out, during sunrise, the desert gets this hue of pink, so the car is perfectly camouflaged.
The pink Land Rovers got the nickname "Rover Pinky". Look up "Rover Pinky" if you don't belive me

So I've noticed the tires on your car actually look pretty beat up, and you've found some wheels that look a lot better. Perhaps putting better tires on makes it handle a little bit better? No clue, just assuming? Also that door you put in your trailer actually fits the car ;)

Something to note.. You don't need snakey pipe thing.. Unless you're draining a fuel tank.. Otherwise the barrels you find in shipe etc, you can press tab to put it into a good position for you to fill straight into the tank 😊 also handy way of filling up fuel cans too or moving things about.. Get ya self a bus... Slower, but you can carry tonnes of fuel
You can also sleep in the front seat by pressing V 😊

Having never heard of this before your first in this series, I have no idea why this is as good to watch as it is. I mean it shouldn't be, but I have to know what weirdness you'll bump into next. :)
Can you open the crates? Put the bike in the trailer? At 27:02 there's something weird looking at the top left corner of the screen by the big rock, what's that?

I love everything about this game, excluding cans of oil on inaccessible roofs. Probably won't come to a console, but I wish it would.
This game rules
The compass on your dash has an adjustable heading nob on it in the bottom left corner, you can scroll the mouse wheel to adjust it to make sure you know which way you went when you leave the road so that you can find your way back to it fairly easily. Cobwebs in corner prevent you picking things up, there was a multicolour duster in your home at the very start that can be used to remove those or you can try and use an object to get behind the the objects in the web and pull them free... The big silver canisters with red strip and the brown small soda syphon type things... throw those clear and shoot them with the air rifle... they explode but make sure you're not nearby... Sponges are what you use to get rid of that horrible texture and return the car to shiny new condition.
