- I went creek fishing for rainbow TROUT with spinners! I fished one of my all time favorite creeks where some of my first videos were made. It was good to be back and it did not disappoint! I caught some nice rainbow trout with a silver blade Fish Hawk spinner. It was a cold rainy day but the trout were hungry!

Thick one huh 😂 You should see some of the trout wv been stocking this year . Some of them bruters have been insanely fat especially pregnant ones .
Probably a sterile one. They stock a few by me too in NY, they don’t spawn so they grow instead of expending energy spawning. Forgot what they call them, but they look that way, fat and almost humpbacked with no adipose fin
@@boxingstarcmbballer8797 I don’t typically go after stockers but I did go the other day and saw a few with similar builds lol couldn’t imagine seeing a big one built like that!

I knew people who used to use powerbaits and just sit, now after teaching them to use spinners and spoons - one of them said, "now this is fishing."
When you released the first trout he swam and hid under the rock, when you released the second one, he went to the same rock. the first one was still there, but swam off to give the new fish a chance to hide.
Nice catching. It looks like the DFW recently planted the stream, they all had fin wear from being in the hatchery tanks. Nice clean fish though, no lice. If you had kept one and gutted it you can tell if they are recent plants or holdovers by the color of the meat. If it is kind of white and colorless, they're recently planted.

That last fish looked like it may have been a wild fish. His fins weren't all torn up like those of the stockers.

Great video as always. I caught my pb rainbow out of a pond yesterday. Beautiful female, 20 inches with a huge belly. Guessing she was around 4 pounds.
Was this place stocked? If not, I'm impressed. If so, I'm still impressed. It's not easy to catch stocked trout that fast.

Fish hawk did you see page 22 of the fishing in MD book that states all brook trout must be released I think this has been long over do nice rainbows that one look like he's back from Thanksgiving dinner lol 😆
You should take up fishing with a fly rod, not a thing in the world wrong with your spinning gear, but drifting nymphs through that water or even fishing with streamers would be a real hoot. You would enjoy it. Good fishing to you.

That one was too fat to fit under the rock. Those are some quality fish. I've gotten old and arthritic Iure miss fishing, Ever try meps spinners or twitching small Gold and Black Rapalas just under the surface? God Bless

ive never actually caught a rainbow trout id like to but ive never actuallly fished for them around here there are no spots to fish for them at a decent rate like this video seems ot be only place i think that has rainbow trout is Lake ONtario and Erie and youd be sitting there all day and not be guaranteed anything...not my kind of fishing somehting like this at a steady decent pace is more like fishing to me,,

Don't fishing for fun to hurt the fish if you don't eat it.
Not if they’re not hooked bad and released properly, he is also not playing them out. He’s getting them in quick and releasing them.
I would eat anything from Pennsylvania waters....not even from class A wild trout water.

I’m a fly fisherman, and this water seems awfully dirty for a Trout stream. Are these fish wild and naturally reproducing Trout?? While stockers can be fun to catch, there is really no particular skill required to catch them. And, if you eat fish, they taste awful. Just one man’s opinion.🤔
Why are you using treble hooks? Absolutely not needed. Here in Washington state we outlawed them years ago. We have gone barbless as well. Try it and you'll feel better and so will the fish you want to release.
