I don’t understand all the negativity people have towards anyone wanting to check out a new game. We are all gamers. Not everyone wants to solely play one game only ever. Who cares what games people play? And palworld is really fun. Whether it lasts or not remains to be seen but someone please explain to me why there has to be such polarization of this issue. I just don’t get the hate
IMHO hate is mainly coming from those who don't understand that 99% of human creativity is derivative of something. Simply because the Devs have managed to combine all the elements fans of survival/openworld games love into the one game doesn't mean they are somehow "cheating" the gaming community. For such a small team of Devs inevitably means they had to use stock assets and wouldn't have had the capacity to uniquely design every element. For those that think they infringed IP or copyright laws, then let the owners decide that. Nintendo has never shied away from using it's legal rights.
Only reason why certain people are hating on the game is because they say it's just a copy from pokemon and a rip off from it. Also they say it's like copyright and I'm not here to hate I just agree with some what of what they say. They creatures in the game look almost a like or similar to pokemon, they have shiny pal animals which that clearly right there is a copy from pokemon straight outta the books. They could've done something different then shiny pal friends, BUT THEY DIDNT. Other people get in trouble from copy right so I don't blame people for feeling this way when games get away with this type of behavior to. I bet it's a great game and good content, but it doesn't change the fact it rips off stuff from pokemon instead of coming up with thier own ideas for thier own game. Now if the games teamed together that's different because then they have permission, but I'm not blind to see the comparisons from the two games unlike like others are.

10/10 would recommend playing on your own server! Customizing the world settings make such a drastic change to the game imo, the game is really fun after the beginning stages of struggles trying to figure out mechanics

Absolutely loved this video Raas! I hope you consider playing more of this. It's such a fun experience. I've already got 200+ hours into the game and it's hard to put down. I would also recommend trying single player as it's less laggy and you can customize the world settings the way you want.
Add in the fact the devs swapped to Unreal Engine from Unity, basically last minute, learned it from the ground up and Palworld still turned out this good.

Might i suggest *SPOILER FREE SUGGESTIONS* playing with some of the Monarchs on a custom server? • its better to either go to a starting point with less pal spawns to avoid lag spikes or turn down the spawn rates •as someone who ignored the tutorial till i was over powered, build your base were ore spawns it can and will respawn in your base and is the best way to get iron •max limit of 3 bases if they're too convoluted the pals will get confused and not work •beating or capturing world bosses gets you ancient technology points to unlock the purple engrams •Level sync doesn't mean uou cant use them till yhat level it just means they will be remain your level until your level surpasses their own in which they will grow with uou over time
I haven't laughed this hard in a video for a long time, 100% need more of this haha. By the way, the slow progression of you slowly getting more and more into it was even better.
I like this series where you try different survival (type) games, really enjoyable to watch. Looking forward for you to get to Conan exiles especially 👍🏻

I'm closing in on 120h and I STILL button stumble/fumble when it comes to sphere throwing and dodging.. tbf I moved sphere button to Z and then roll to Q very quickly cuz I kept wasting spheres.. Using Q to equip/unequip tools in Ark has been infused into my brain.. 😂
Would love for a series to come out of this game from you. On a server would be fun especially with your ark background. You can attack other peoples bases if people want to play that way.
This game felt like a massive mix of pokemon ark and gta - ik the gta part sounds random but you can get a wanted level.. its a very unique twist to a game
Theres an old interview with the CEO from when the game was first announced, where he specifically states Ark as the main inspiration, mixed with some Dragon Quest, Rust, Zelda and GTA.. I'd personally say there's also kind of a Settlers element to it.. And so freaking what, if ppl call them pokemon rip offs.. Nintendo has had 3 years to react, so they prolly would by now.. What "saves" Palworld from Nintendo is probably the fact that you will never see a Pokemon release on any none-Nintendo platform (With Pokémon Go on android and iOS kind of being an exception), so it caters to a completely different player base.. If anything, there might actually end up being a player spill over TO Nintendo by people getting curious about the "real" pokémon games..
Exactly this MissZume! I don’t think anyone who is a Pokémon fan is going to stop being a Pokémon fan or stop playing Pokémon games because of Palworld. And the platform exclusivity thing for Pokémon would negate the market impact requirement of an infringement claim. I think you make a great point about it potentially expanding Pokémon interest to people who haven’t played much Pokémon before.
@@sueage I'm honestly just getting really tired of this war that is being created and maintained by both Ark and Pokémon hardliners alike.. They act like its a crime against humanity to admit to loving more than just *their* game, and its just like listening to the same old broken record.. Any expression of loving another game than "theirs", automaticly gets you treated like a mortal enemy that needs to be silenced, and the worst of them will actively seek out "enemy communities" to wage the war off their own turf.. And the worst of all is that there is a massive overlap between the war wagers and those who claim to be fans of a franchise while also being the loudest trash talkers of their own games and/or devs.. Its disgusting! I love Palworld, I love Pokémon AND i LOVE Ark, and I really hope that WC and SG will pull through 2024 financially, but I also fear the worst due to the way they handle even constructive feedback.. They need to FIX all the game changing bugs and do WAY more optimization before starting to add new paid content.. Like the save game bug, the entire Volcano/Tek cave area, tames ascending/falling through the mesh and so on.. Even the most die hard Ark fans are starting to question if this is purely a cash grab or if there is any actual passion left in their descision making.. Ive never played any of the Nintendo console Pokémon games, but I have a 5 digit hour investment in Pokémon Go, a pretty large collection of Pokémon TCG cards, a bunch of plushies (My squishmallow Snorlax is my sleeping buddy) and figurines and even a Pokémon towel.. It IS possible to love more than 1 game/franchise...

I highly recommend starting a single player game if you plan on exploring the game alone for a bit. The lag on servers is a real issue. Also you probably want to find a better base location, behind the starter zone isn't really ideal as it lacks resources & Pal spawns. You can use Pals of a higher level than you, they'll just scale down to your level, also your crafting stations will directly pull from any storage in your base area...so no need to carry everything. I enjoyed watching and hope you play more. :D
That wild egg you found , you’ll need an egg incubator to hatch it, when your out and about exploring, look everywhere, there are chest and wild eggs everywhere, you never what might hatch :)

@raasclark i whas like you first try to mutch in my head with ark but i gave it day after another try and really the game is really good falling into holes ect really having a blast haha feels like i played ark long time ago when the game just released you will see after a few days you will be hooked. also you playing palworld is making my day always loved your ark vids hope this game will get the same love like you do with ark and a little tip: for the breeding every pal have different passive skills the way to breed is to combine the stats for the job it will do once you have that one you can combine all the others you have from the breed into that perfect pal
Wooooo! Lets gooo! Want to say, it definitely gets harder. Theres higher level zones, and cooler Pals to get. Theres huge bald spots on the map where sometimes its a camp, sometimes a resource area, but overall they are I believe intended for the most part as build areas because they're so flat, and some Pals are HUGE lol Oh, and if the whole server sleeps at once it'll skip night, surprisingly. Hope you enjoy!
You can shoot off your mount, you can make a heater for your incubator, you can farm bosses, don't kill traders or non syndicate NPCs or they will hunt you down relentlessly. ❤

Not sure if you found it out in the end as I’m only halfway through watching but you don’t need stuff in your inventory to craft in your base, can be in any storage box and you can craft
I absolutely can't wait to play it. My daughter plays it she is in college and i asked her about it and she said since i liked Ark i would like it. I have stopped playing Ark after playing after ASA for a while and am done with it now so need something to get my fix.
I've been playing palworld on xbox and been really enjoying it. Yeah it's buggy but also early access so can only get better, especially with all the interest it's getting atm. Definitely one of them games you don't think of it much before you start, but after you do and a few hours go by without you realising you get sucked into it. 😂

I don't know if anyone else said it, but building on that starter beach was possibly the worst starting experience you could ask for yourself :p That and don't build things too close together, later on it'll be a nightmare to select what you want to use/open >.< EDIT: Also no idea how you can play this on this server, that lag/rubberbanding is painful. Maybe give solo a go to see how it all works first ;) Also please read the key's on the screen when building/mounted :) Your summoned ridables can have 3 attacks, default on lmb, e and c
There is so much that’s not really explained in the game, like how to get Ancient Tech Points and stuff. I get it - it’s Early Access - but I wish I didn’t have to Google stuff because I feel like a noob! (For the record, you have to defeat the Alpha Pals, like Chillet - the ones whose pictures appear on the map.)
if you happen to play it again, I would recomend to build up a Ranch for your pals, Pals like the chicken will automaticly give you eggs there over time, while Lamball for example will produce wool ~
Oh we will 100% see more Palworld from Raas... The increase in level of excitement went from -1 to 10+ quite visibly during this 1h video.. It was also quite obvious he had someone pointing him in the right directions here and there, which just added to the wholesomeness in this video.. 😍

Just started playing a few days ago and me, my fiance, and his brothers are completely addicted! So easy to play with each other too (cough cough no tether...ark...cough). But still playing ASE in the mix too. Such a fun game!!!

If you unlock the towers around the map you can teleport between them and your base didn't see you use that although you may have just cut it. Edit. Lol noticed later on it did seem you figured out tp.

Palworld is so popular because it takes the survival genre but makes it very casual so the average player can get satisfaction from it.

I'd say it's more like Conan than Ark. You climb, get raided by NPCs, Slaves, similar combat.

@raasclark i whas like you first try to mutch in my head with ark but i gave it day after another try and really the game is really good falling into holes ect really having a blast haha feels like i played ark long time ago when the game just released you will see after a few days you will be hooked. also you playing palworld is making my day always loved your ark vids hope this game will get the same love like you do with ark and a little tip: for the breeding every pal have different passive skills the way to breed is to combine the stats for the job it will do once you have that one you can combine all the others you have from the breed into that perfect pal
Raas you can use anything you catch the red lvl thing just means their lvl is reduced to yours until you catch up
this is a fun playthrough :D

Want to say, it definitely gets harder. Theres higher level zones, and cooler Pals to get. Theres huge bald spots on the map where sometimes its a camp, sometimes a resource area, but overall they are I believe intended for the most part as build areas because they're so flat, and some Pals are HUGE lol
Oh, and if the whole server sleeps at once it'll skip night, surprisingly.

I've been playing palworld on xbox and been really enjoying it. Yeah it's buggy but also early access so can only get better, especially with all the interest it's getting atm.
Definitely one of them games you don't think of it much before you start, but after you do and a few hours go by without you realising you get sucked into it. 😂

I don't know if anyone else said it, but building on that starter beach was possibly the worst starting experience you could ask for yourself :p
That and don't build things too close together, later on it'll be a nightmare to select what you want to use/open >.<
EDIT: Also no idea how you can play this on this server, that lag/rubberbanding is painful. Maybe give solo a go to see how it all works first ;)
Also please read the key's on the screen when building/mounted :) Your summoned ridables can have 3 attacks, default on lmb, e and c

Yes you need to be careful not to waste pal spheres, in early game at least , , those glowing statues are fast travel points :)
Check the survival guide, element page to see what is weak against what. Helps loads later on
Monkey with gun may be disappointing, but Lifmunk with uzi is DEVASTATING
Get your ranch built fast , certain pals will automatically drop items around the farm

There is so much that’s not really explained in the game, like how to get Ancient Tech Points and stuff. I get it - it’s Early Access - but I wish I didn’t have to Google stuff because I feel like a noob! (For the record, you have to defeat the Alpha Pals, like Chillet - the ones whose pictures appear on the map.)

if you happen to play it again, I would recomend to build up a Ranch for your pals, Pals like the chicken will automaticly give you eggs there over time, while Lamball for example will produce wool ~
Oh we will 100% see more Palworld from Raas... The increase in level of excitement went from -1 to 10+ quite visibly during this 1h video.. It was also quite obvious he had someone pointing him in the right directions here and there, which just added to the wholesomeness in this video.. 😍

@@MissZume for me it didn't look like someone gave him any directions, if that where the case, it probably would have worked smoother for Raas xD but the struggle in the beginning without knowing what to do is just a normal part of it, learning and progressing, thats with every new game you start.
@@Raasclark Ohh, another thing I noticed and thought to mention but forgot, the part where you where talking about Tomcat that you can't use him because of its higher level, you actually can use him! he just gets level cap. back to your level and levels up along side you ~

There are no boats, you need a water pal , to cruise across the water
BTW don't know if they patched it but if u manage to take a guard to the boss battle and make him shoot the boss, you can catch that boss easy

Just started playing a few days ago and me, my fiance, and his brothers are completely addicted! So easy to play with each other too (cough cough no tether...ark...cough). But still playing ASE in the mix too. Such a fun game!!!
Also, a fun tip that we discovered last night: YOU CAN USE PALSPHERES ON PEOPLE AND CAPTURE THEM.

If you unlock the towers around the map you can teleport between them and your base didn't see you use that although you may have just cut it. Edit. Lol noticed later on it did seem you figured out tp.
