This kind of mushroom needs a lot fresh air, so the conditions in a "normal" room with fresh air is a good choice. Lower humidy could make the mushrooms become smaller and "more ugly". But for a time lapse this will work pretty good when using a grow kit. Also: When cutting the bag there will be enough moisture inside the bag to support the grow even at lower humidity levels

How important is the right amount of humidity? Would they grow just in let's say a living room with no humidifier?

No, wheat bran is like the hull or wheat flour. I bought mine on ebay "organic wheat bran"

What is master mix ?
Its a mix of hardwood pellets, soy hulls and water with ratio = 400g soy hulls, 400g hardwood sawdust pellets, 1200g water
I have a hard time finding soy hull can I substitute something else? Thanks
