Hey sorry to inform you, the creator of this video died two weeks after it came out and unfortunately there will be no part two. How about you read the book instead, have you thought about that idiot?
@@danielshea5468She started smoking way before that, when she secretly smoked a cigarette after taking one from her uncle without his notice to rebel against her mother.
there’s a chapter called the cigarette. Marjane’s rebellion grows and compares her mom to guardians of revolution and dictator using affirmative posture and metaphors. Also, the frame that presents how Marjane viewed her mom in a twisted way - drawing parallel to her depiction of the fundamentalist, and oppressive male in the veil - shows how she felt she lacked individuality even when home (not to mention that she couldn’t wear things she wanted to either, or say what she wanted to say). As an attempt to break away from the caging environment, she smokes a cigarette as a symbol that “kissed my childhood goodbye”

I think Marjane should have made on the surface concessions and just played the game so she would not be separated from her own family and friends as that was the worst case scenario. She could still could have been a rebel silently and hoped for change and once she was older she could then move away and arrange for her parents to follow and support them in their old age. I know you can't change what happened, but anything not to be separated from her family and friends. Thanks for this very dramatic story. It reminds me of my coed house when I was a university student and a girl who spoke of her home country of Iran and how terrible it was. I was angry when Trump had that military general assassinated in Iran as that is not the way to have international relations, murder. I only liked Trump as he had no wars while he was President where Obama had 8. The military industrial complex hates Trump.
