Known for his dour image and sharp wit, the singer found fame in the 1970s and 80s with hits like Ghost Town and Too Much Too Young.
He left The Specials in 1981 to form Fun Boy Three with fellow-bandmates Neville Staples and Lynval Golding, scoring another run of hits.

No they were not his last words, his last words were "Love, love, love" , which is the total opposite of creepy. I can see this Video has been created using AI tools to create the title, transcript and audio, that the creator of the Video didn't bother checking this properly before publishing, it seems the AI algorithm brought back the results for famous last words and pulled in the results "Goodbye. I'm leaving because I'm bored. - who was actually from Author: George Saunders" .Imagine if Terry Halls widow, sons, family and friends, came across this video on TH-cam, how would you think they would feel about the video title and content, and not forgetting the fans who have viewed this, please show some integrity and respect and update this to be factual.

@@DebbieTDP Depends how you look,I found out today via Apple News ,it mentioned a Facebook post by Horace Panter and his fb post was used in an article by the NME.Terry had told his band members he had a * stomach bug * in September and recording gigs would have to wait.Then things became serious.Terry ( like Victoria wood / Bowie/ Jackie Collins) wanted privacy about his condition.Steve Blackwell the bands manager called Horace on October 2 to tell him Terry had cancer and that it had spread 🥺

Grew up listening to bands like The Specials and all the 80's music, the best decade for everything from music to fashion and not to be underestimated the last time we were really free from mobile phones and things like cctv. Good times...... RIP Terry you were one of the good ones 💔
His unmistakable, unique style and delivery in the studio and live made him a top “front man” to emerge from any era of post ‘65 rock and pop PERIOD. He was like no one else. True original. Fronting The Specials, a group of often overlooked profound substance, their approach and take on race, class, the UKs struggles in that time, is really unequalled. Thoroughly modern and simultaneously rooted. He’s in that top tier and above so many perhaps better globally known “stars”. Never bitter though always top class.

Back in the day in Los Angeles, there was an alternative radio station KROQ that played a lot of the specials. Great memories.
My introduction to the specials was when my mate bought the single Ghost town the day it was released in 1981 I was hooked from that day ,I still listen to their stuff today and it always brings back Great memories of that time ,friends ,work ,going out and having fun I was 20 yrs old and just starting out in life..

I'm so sorry to just learn of this. I went on U tub to listen to the Specials and just learned of this. The Specials we're such a wonderful band. Terry Hall always seamed to be a very good guy that wanted to help other w his political work. He will be sorruly missed. We have faith you are in a better place now
