@Aziz Rahman Of course I very much respect our illustrious scholars. However, they are still human and 99.9% of the time they are correct. But sometimes an interpretation just does not make a lot of sense and this is how I felt with the Uzayr interpretation. For instance, you get scholars that have had a wide variety of interpretations as to who Dhul-Qarnain was. As a layperson you have to say WallahuAlem and settle with the interpretation that makes most sense to you and if new info emerges, be prepared to change your mind

I have been skeptical of Sahih International for interspersed opinions and bias but it’s modern syntax and accessible language is easy to digest. From my understanding of the Uzair mentioned in the Quran is a righteous person who traveled through a valley that was destroyed by Allāh’s punishment. He sat there and said how does Allāh bring them back to life. So Allāh took his soul and left him for 100 years. His donkey also died and turned to dusts. But his food he was carrying remained fresh. And after 100 years Allāh send his soul back to him with a Messenger (Angel). He said: “how long did you sleep?” Uzair replied: “1 or 2 days” Angel said: “You slept here for 100 years, this is how Allah bring the dead back to life, look at your donkey. It also died with you. Look at your food it is fresh. Now eat, and watch how Allāh bring your donkey back to life.” He was amazed and went back to Banu-Isrāēl and told them this story. Then they called him son of God.
In the Somali language many of the words are familiar of ancient Egyptian language including the name raa means sun kor raa means the sun head. Words uncle grandad grandmother are identical and much. Ancient Somalia used to be called Land of Punt and ancient Egyptian went there for pilgrimage and called it the land of the Gods and Ancestoral home. I too have always when reading that verse been speculating about how Allah used a certain pattern of speech for Moses stick. When in the first section of the video Osiris description was brought, I wondered the connection to Moses stick but still being sceptical, it might have been a powerful sign not just physically also psychologically, considering resemblance to Osiris stick for the denizens of Egypt. I think the stick one goes a bit more into ambiguity, but so does the scholarly opinion which is that Musa as wanted to prolong his speech with Allah. In fact this may have more evidence to it, Allahu 3laam But that's a good advice brother, jazakallah. I was in fact thinking about it, i don't know who this brother is... so i was saying to myself "perhaps it would be wise to know who he is, since there are a lot of deviatns out there with incorrect theories" Tho many of those also don't know arabic, which is why they fail even harder, but still some deviants know arabic but just their attitude is what fails more than anything, and Allah knows best. I won't lie, i just shared this with non believers, because i believe it's a decent interpretation and it solves this problematic and actually gives the verse the value it deserves, making the point harder, which is to compare the j3ws under egyptian theology and the christians under hellenistic theology... Basically the verse is perfect with this interpretation, because it draws similarities which are there, if we interpret Uzair to be Ezra, then it loses meaning, in my opinion. I always thought that Allah was criticizing the Jews because Ezra was a scribe who was changing the Torah without Allah's authority and that was why he said that the Jews say he is "the son of Allah".

Uzair (Arabic: عزير, ʿUzayr) is a figure who is mentioned in the Quran, Surah At-Tawba, verse 9:30, which states that he was revered by the Jews as "the son of God". Uzayr is not usayr ... Qur'an clearly states he is UZAYR. According to the classical Quranic exegete, Ibn Kathir, after Ezra questioned how the resurrection will take place on the Day of judgment, God had him brought back to life many years after he died. He rode on his revived donkey and entered his native place. But the people did not recognize him, nor did his household, except the maid, who was now an old blind woman. He prayed to God to cure her blindness and she could see again. He meets his son who recognized him by a mole between his shoulders and was older than he was. Ezra then led the people to locate the only surviving copy of Torah as the remaining were burnt by Nebuchadnezzar. It was rotting and crumpled, so Ezra had a new copy of the Torah made which he had previously memorized. He thus renovated the Torah to the Children of Israel. Ibn Kathir mentions that the sign in the phrase "And that We may make of thee a sign unto the people" was that he was younger than his children. After this miracle, Ibn Kathir writes that Jews began to claim that Ezra was the 'son of God'.[12] The modern Quranic exegesis of Abul Ala Maududi states: Uzair (Ezra) lived during the period around 450 B.C. The Jews regarded him with great reverence as the revivalist of their Scriptures which had been lost during their captivity in Babylon after the death of Prophet Solomon. So much so that they had lost all the knowledge of their Law, their traditions and of Hebrew, their national language. Then it was Ezra who re-wrote the Old Testament and revived the Law. That is why they used very exaggerated language in his reverence which misled some of the Jewish sects to make him 'the son of God'. The Qur'an, however, does not assert that all the Jews were unanimous in declaring Ezra as 'the son of God'. What it intends to say is that the perversion in the articles of faith of the Jews concerning God had degenerated to such an extent that there were some amongst them who considered Ezra as the son of God.

When ALLAH asked Musa about the stick... was that purposely to show that Musa was a follower of Egyptian culture? And when Musa realised during his conversation with ALLAH, he denied being a follower of that culture and started to justify that?

No one truly knows why? For me the continuation of the story, hinges on the fact that this simple wooden staff was going to be used by Allah to makes miracles for Moses, Musa AS. It was going to be turned in to an extraordinary serpent and be used to cross the Red sea and be used to bring forth 12 springs of water for the 12 tribes. And the reasons for its use as per Musa AS in his daily life is because he wants to converse with Allah. If he just gives a short answer, "This is my staff", then it is lacking the love and respect and longing with which to come nearer to Allah SWT. We will demonstrate how he translated these noble teachings into noble actions. Prophets have noble character Prophets never sought personal benefits such as wealth, high status or power - rather, they only sought the approval of God. Prophets were the best examples amongst their people in character and righteousness. They lived in obedience to God, with excellent morals and were always truthful in speech and conduct. For this reason, Muslims reject totally the false attribution of major sins to the Prophets, as appears in some scriptures of other religions. Prophets perform miracles Many Prophets performed miracles, usually in a field which their people excelled. For example, the people of Moses (peace be upon him) excelled in magic; therefore, Moses (peace be upon him) was able to perform miraculous acts which even magicians could not perform. Some examples include: The persistence of Noah (peace be upon him) in calling his people to Allah, even though very few accepted. The courage of Abraham (peace be upon him) to singlehandedly confront his entire community regarding their false beliefs, while he was still very young. The leadership of Moses (peace be upon him) in directing the escape of his people from the most oppressive tyrant of his time - Pharaoh. The patience of Jesus (peace be upon him) in enduring the hardships and persecution imposed upon him by his people. I’m of the train of thought , that instead of limiting ourselves to just arabic and so-Hebrew or even Aramaic: we need to cross reference these names/attributes with the Sanskrit script. Where as many of the terms used in Arabic/ Latin/Hebrew are actually derived from the Sanskrit vedas texts! Such as ausar- Osiris = asaras of the vedas. Very interesting points Regarding Moses staff , we could ask why would Allah have had the need to question as to the significance of Moses staff being that Allah is Al Hakim and Al Alim? We could easily say that the questioning of Moses staff was a rhetorical one in which it was meant for Moses to gain understanding of that which he understood not about his very own staff. The staff originally belonged to Adam A.S. and it’s was from a Heavenly Tree. It was a green branch and it still maintains its fresh green color to this day. It had two branches up top and two curved branches down low and the bottom was strong like steel. It’s even more interesting because by the will of Allah this very same staff would go on to play a significant part in being the downfall of Pharaoh’s Egypt. When the Staff was thrown down in front of Pharaoh it swallowed the cheap trickeries of Pharaoh’s Magicians. This very same staff when in its snake form was unusually bigger than everything around. It’s mouth stretched open 40 yards. Moses A.S. even rode the snake when he was tired. The very same staff became a source of food and water when Moses was hungry or thirsty. It became a giant serpent and attacked Moses’s enemies. But sometimes an interpretation just does not make a lot of sense and this is how I felt with the Uzayr interpretation. For instance, you get scholars that have had a wide variety of interpretations as to who Dhul-Qarnain was. As a layperson you have to say WallahuAlem and settle with the interpretation that makes most sense to you and if new info emerges, be prepared to change your mind

From my understanding of the Uzair mentioned in the Quran is a righteous person who traveled through a valley that was destroyed by Allāh’s punishment. He sat there and said how does Allāh bring them back to life. So Allāh took his soul and left him for 100 years. His donkey also died and turned to dusts. But his food he was carrying remained fresh. And after 100 years Allāh send his soul back to him with a Messenger (Angel).
He said: “how long did you sleep?”
Uzair replied: “1 or 2 days”
Angel said: “You slept here for 100 years, this is how Allah bring the dead back to life, look at your donkey. It also died with you. Look at your food it is fresh. Now eat, and watch how Allāh bring your donkey back to life.”
He was amazed and went back to Banu-Isrāēl and told them this story. Then they called him son of God.

I too have always when reading that verse been speculating about how Allah used a certain pattern of speech for Moses stick. When in the first section of the video Osiris description was brought, I wondered the connection to Moses stick but still being sceptical, it might have been a powerful sign not just physically also psychologically, considering resemblance to Osiris stick for the denizens of Egypt. I won't lie, i just shared this with non believers, because i believe it's a decent interpretation and it solves this problematic and actually gives the verse the value it deserves, making the point harder, which is to compare the j3ws under egyptian theology and the christians under hellenistic theology...
Basically the verse is perfect with this interpretation, because it draws similarities which are there, if we interpret Uzair to be Ezra, then it loses meaning, in my opinion.
Of course if it is Ezra, then the verse will have a diff meaning, my ignorance and my apologies if that is the case.

Uzair (Arabic: عزير, ʿUzayr) is a figure who is mentioned in the Quran, Surah At-Tawba, verse 9:30, which states that he was revered by the Jews as "the son of God".
Uzayr is not usayr ... Qur'an clearly states he is UZAYR.
According to the classical Quranic exegete, Ibn Kathir, after Ezra questioned how the resurrection will take place on the Day of judgment, God had him brought back to life many years after he died. He rode on his revived donkey and entered his native place. But the people did not recognize him, nor did his household, except the maid, who was now an old blind woman. He prayed to God to cure her blindness and she could see again. He meets his son who recognized him by a mole between his shoulders and was older than he was. Ezra then led the people to locate the only surviving copy of Torah as the remaining were burnt by Nebuchadnezzar. It was rotting and crumpled, so Ezra had a new copy of the Torah made which he had previously memorized. He thus renovated the Torah to the Children of Israel. Ibn Kathir mentions that the sign in the phrase "And that We may make of thee a sign unto the people" was that he was younger than his children. After this miracle, Ibn Kathir writes that Jews began to claim that Ezra was the 'son of God'.[12]
The modern Quranic exegesis of Abul Ala Maududi states:
Uzair (Ezra) lived during the period around 450 B.C. The Jews regarded him with great reverence as the revivalist of their Scriptures which had been lost during their captivity in Babylon after the death of Prophet Solomon. So much so that they had lost all the knowledge of their Law, their traditions and of Hebrew, their national language. Then it was Ezra who re-wrote the Old Testament and revived the Law. That is why they used very exaggerated language in his reverence which misled some of the Jewish sects to make him 'the son of God'. The Qur'an, however, does not assert that all the Jews were unanimous in declaring Ezra as 'the son of God'. What it intends to say is that the perversion in the articles of faith of the Jews concerning God had degenerated to such an extent that there were some amongst them who considered Ezra as the son of God.

No one truly knows why? For me the continuation of the story, hinges on the fact that this simple wooden staff was going to be used by Allah to makes miracles for Moses, Musa AS. It was going to be turned in to an extraordinary serpent and be used to cross the Red sea and be used to bring forth 12 springs of water for the 12 tribes. And the reasons for its use as per Musa AS in his daily life is because he wants to converse with Allah. If he just gives a short answer, "This is my staff", then it is lacking the love and respect and longing with which to come nearer to Allah SWT. It is like if your mother asks, "where did you go?" and you could either say I went out. or you could elaborate for her and tell her what, why when how etcetera, so as to be in her company and share your life with someone you want to be with and whom you love and bare yourself to.

Allah (God), the Creator of the universe and everything in it, created humans for a noble purpose: to worship Him alone and lead a virtuous life based on His teachings and guidance. However, one cannot fulfil this purpose without receiving clear guidelines from Allah. Allah, the Most Merciful and Just, did not leave us to wander the Earth aimlessly. In order to inform us of our purpose, Allah appointed certain individuals to communicate and demonstrate His message to all of mankind. These individuals are known as Prophets, which include Adam, Noah, Abraham, Moses, Jesus and Muhammad - may peace be upon them all.
The Characteristics of Prophets
All Prophets have common characteristics which make them exceptional human beings.
Prophets receive revelation
The main difference between an ordinary human being and a Prophet is that a Prophet receives revelation from Allah.
Prophets have noble character
Prophets never sought personal benefits such as wealth, high status or power - rather, they only sought the approval of God.
Prophets were the best examples amongst their people in character and righteousness. They lived in obedience to God, with excellent morals and were always truthful in speech and conduct. For this reason, Muslims reject totally the false attribution of major sins to the Prophets, as appears in some scriptures of other religions.
Prophets perform miracles
Many Prophets performed miracles, usually in a field which their people excelled. For example, the people of Moses (peace be upon him) excelled in magic; therefore, Moses (peace be upon him) was able to perform miraculous acts which even magicians could not perform. The people of Jesus (peace be upon him) excelled in matters of medicine; therefore, Jesus (peace be upon him) was able to perform acts of healing beyond the skill of his own people. The people of Muhammad (peace be upon him) excelled in poetry; therefore, Muhammad (peace be upon him) delivered the Quran, containing such eloquent words which no poet could ever compete with. In addition, many Prophets conveyed truthful prophecies of future events. Such miracles were performed only with the permission and assistance of Allah, proving that they were human, and not divine.
Prophets are not divine
While Prophets are chosen by Allah Almighty, they are in no way divine and should not be worshipped. Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) was commanded to say, "I am only a man like you. It has been revealed to me that your God is One God." Quran 18:110 It is clear even from the Bible, both the Old and New Testaments, that the Prophets were not divine, and would worship and prostrate to the One True God. "And he [Jesus] went a little farther, and fell on his face, and prayed..." Matthew 26:39 "And they [Moses and Aaron] fell upon their faces..." Numbers 16:22 "And Abram [i.e. Abraham] fell on his face: and God talked with him..." Genesis 17:3
Prophets have necessary qualities
Allah gave all Prophets certain characteristics in order for them to successfully fulfil their mission, such as persistence, courage, leadership, patience and wisdom.
Some examples include:
The persistence of Noah (peace be upon him) in calling his people to Allah, even though very few accepted.
The courage of Abraham (peace be upon him) to singlehandedly confront his entire community regarding their false beliefs, while he was still very young.
The leadership of Moses (peace be upon him) in directing the escape of his people from the most oppressive tyrant of his time - Pharaoh.
The patience of Jesus (peace be upon him) in enduring the hardships and persecution imposed upon him by his people.
The wisdom of Muhammad (peace be upon him) in uniting the many rival tribes of Arabia, who had a long history of conflict, into one peaceful community.

The Message of the Prophets
"And certainly We sent to every nation a Messenger (saying): 'Worship Allah and avoid false gods.' "Quran 16:36Since all Prophets were sent by the One True God, they all conveyed the same message and had the same mission - to remind and educate their people of the purpose of life.
Their message was to:
Clarify the true concept of God and reject false beliefs
Teach the true purpose of life
Demonstrate how Allah should be worshipped
Convey Allah's definition of righteous and sinful conduct, and advise people accordingly
Describe the rewards for obedience (Heaven) and warn of the punishment for disobedience (Hell)
Explain commonly misunderstood issues such as the soul, angels and spirits, the afterlife and fate

Abraham (peace be upon him) said [Quran 21:66],
"Do you worship besides Allah, things that can neither bring you benefit nor cause you harm?"
Moses (peace be upon him) said [Quran 7:140],
"What! Shall I seek for you a god other than Allah even though He has made you excel (all) created things?"
Jesus (peace be upon him) said [Quran 3:51],
"Indeed Allah is my Lord and your Lord: so worship Him (alone): this is the Straight Way."
Muhammad (peace be upon him) said [Quran 18:110],
"It has been revealed to me that your God is One God. So whoever expects to meet his Lord then let him do good deeds and associate none as a partner in the worship of his Lord."
This message was consistent throughout the generations, and highlights the importance of having the correct belief in God.
Every Nation was Sent a Prophet
"And for every nation there is a messenger."Quran 10:47Muslims believe that thousands of Prophets were sent periodically by Allah, at least one to every nation, as a mercy to mankind for their guidance. In certain circumstances, the message of the Prophets was lost, corrupted, forgotten, neglected, or denied by the people. These were some of the reasons why a new Prophet would be sent to re-convey Allah's message.
Muslims believe in and respect every Prophet sent by God. Muslims also believe in all of the divine books which were revealed to the Prophets, mindful of the fact that none of these books exist today in their original form, aside from the Quran. "It is He (Allah) Who has sent down the Book (the Quran) to you (Muhammad) with truth, confirming what came before it. And He sent down the Torah and the Gospel." Quran 3:3
Why Doesn't Everyone Receive Direct Revelation?
Allah created life and gave humans free will and intellect, as a test to see who will willingly follow His path and who will deviate. If every person received direct revelation, life would not be a true test of faith. The real test of one's faith is in using one's intellect and reason to contemplate and recognise God's signs, rather than being spoken to directly by God, which would not require any effort, and would render belief meaningless.
Although Prophets received direct revelation, this did not exempt them from life's tests, as Prophethood brings with it many difficulties and trials.

I’m of the train of thought , that instead of limiting ourselves to just arabic and so-Hebrew or even Aramaic: we need to cross reference these names/attributes with the Sanskrit script. Where as many of the terms used in Arabic/ Latin/Hebrew are actually derived from the Sanskrit vedas texts! Such as ausar- Osiris = asaras of the vedas. These beings are not just demons but at one point the further you go back in the Vedic tradition you find them as the ancient nation. Very interesting points Regarding Moses staff , we could ask why would Allah have had the need to question as to the significance of Moses staff being that Allah is Al Hakim and Al Alim? We could easily say that the questioning of Moses staff was a rhetorical one in which it was meant for Moses to gain understanding of that which he understood not about his very own staff.
The staff originally belonged to Adam A.S. and it’s was from a Heavenly Tree. It was a green branch and it still maintains its fresh green color to this day. It had two branches up top and two curved branches down low and the bottom was strong like steel.
It’s even more interesting because by the will of Allah this very same staff would go on to play a significant part in being the downfall of Pharaoh’s Egypt. When the Staff was thrown down in front of Pharaoh it swallowed the cheap trickeries of Pharaoh’s Magicians. This very same staff when in its snake form was unusually bigger than everything around. It’s mouth stretched open 40 yards. Moses A.S. even rode the snake when he was tired.
The very same staff became a source of food and water when Moses was hungry or thirsty. It became a giant serpent and attacked Moses’s enemies.
There is more info about this staff but I bring it full circle to say that when Allah questioned Moses about the staff, Allah knew more about the staff than Moses in regards to its origins and the significance it would play in Moses upcoming missions. Just saying, Osiris is not of semetic origin. It's not even Egyptian. It's from western Africa. Osiris, just like Medusa and Poseidon are of Berber origin.
So just letting you know, the whole narration of the myth of Osiris isn't accurate, since the God doesn't even originate from Egypt. But is an incorporation of Berber (which were generally referred to as the Libyans) culture into ancient Egyptian.
