The book 'I Am Football : Zlatan Ibrahimović' [Originally published in November 2018] inspired me to make this film.
The film is about Zlatan's incredible footballing journey with 10 chapters in the main story from Malmö FF through A.C. Milan (2020), and an additional Epilogue "I am Sweden", bringing a total of 11 Chapters in the full film.

For one reason: He had to struggle so much at Sweden, and german culture is very similiar for us from Southeast Europe.
Und ob du es glaubst oder nicht, Zlatans Mutter, Nada(Hoffnung), hat mit meiner Mutter in BaWü ( Kleinstadt Bruchsal) jahrelang bei Siemens gearbeitet, bevor sie nach Schweden ging.
Our heritage is from Zadar region/Croatia,my village is just like 10km away from Zlatans mom.

This might gonna sound weird, but I have been watching and studying football for 35 years and I can say most people don´t even suspect how good Zlatan is. For me, the best European football player in the entire 21st century. A striker who has inherited the throne of Mathias Sindelar, Josef Bican. Ferenc Puskas, Eusebio, Gerd Mueller, Keegan, Rummenigge Bergkamp, and Shevchenko.

What a player. I cannot think of a single player that has done what Zlatan has done. Ripped apart leagues in Sweden, Holland, Italy, Spain, France, England and the USA. To still be playing at the level he is at after all this time no one can do that. Ronaldo is failing, Messi is still years younger yet still the lion continues. I'd love to meet him and shake his hand for what he has given the world of football. A true living legend and no one will ever be quite like Zlatan. Genius.
