That is so pretty! It gets me emotional. I studied LIS (italian sign language) for 3 years. This video makes me remember how deep was that type of comunication. With hands, face expressions, body movements. I appreciate so much who speaks oral language and also knows a sign language. Very cool!

I think it’s similar enough that they can understand the general idea of what the other is saying. Like I know a little ASL and most of the words they signed were similar to the American version
As Gabri said, they'd probably know the general idea, but I'd like to point out that they may mistake one meaning for another (for example, the sign for "what" in BSL is the sign for "where" in ASL)
Gabri Attaway no. BSL and ASL are not very much alike, but ofc many signs are similar in many sign languages. I speak Norwegian sign language (I'm an interpreter) and if my deaf friends meet someone from another country they usually use international sign language (a bit like English for us hearing people). It's like mixing up many signs that are universal - adding some and removing the mouth movements (like you wouldn't say "holiday", you would just sign it) ☺️

As a hearing person with very limited BSL, sometimes I didn’t understand what was happening. As I was thinking this to myself, I realised that almost every single video doesn’t have bsl or captions, and that this minor frustration I felt is how deaf and HoH people feel EVERY. SINGLE. DAY. So I think this was actually a good idea to not put captions. Now every single hearing person who doesn’t know BSL can understand how hard it is on a daily basis for deaf and HoH people.
I'm 85% deaf in my right ear and 40% in my left. It really does suck being HoH, people getting tired of hearing me say "Huh? What?" or not hearing them (though at times I find it funny). I'm looking to learn ASL eventually.

Tics can happen a lot every day, or once a day, or once a month, even once a year. They are super random. Also BSL is British Sign language, and ASL is American Sign Language

I know some American Sign Language so I see some of the signs are the same or similar but still hard to understand (I have hearing problems and will be dead in my lifetime) so I couldn’t understand each and every thing that was said but I understood enough. And you guys are literally the cutest.

But no, just that here her ticks were mostly her blinking and lil stuff like that then they became more abrupt like they are now with the yelling and hitting herself (which I always feel so sad when she does that, but she can't help it) but yeah, she mentions it in an earlier video cuz people thought she was faking it

Somewhere between 138 and 300 different signed languages. Every country has their own.
