- Curious about the cheapest top handle chainsaw on Amazon? Watch as I unbox and test out this budget-friendly tool to see if it's worth the price!
I bought one of the cheapest top handle chainsaws on amazon to see if it would work for my needs around the homestead. #chainsaw #amazon #homestead
I wanted a small, compact, & light weight chainsaw to keep on my Polaris ranger xp1000.
I find myself needing a chainsaw when I'm checking fences or riding down the trails. This saw has its own issues and I feel most anyone can tinker with enough to have a useable saw at a great value.

It won’t need 25:1 I did that a long time ago with all the clone saws I have had in the past. On these types of saws, even when they look the same, they aren’t. I have seen lots of variation inbuild quality and performance between different manufacturers. I bet you will get it tuned up a bit and it will run. I have found them to start fairly easily and perform fairly well. Weird it came with a safety chain. Good video.
Thank you Mr Joe for stopping by.
That was my thoughts on the fuel ratio I don't think it was going to bother it one bit
The bore scope is a great tool to take a quick peek at something to see how it's doing
It did well for that price. I thought for a minute that you were going to jump up and down on it😅. But once you adjusted the carb it woke up.
Hey, Mr Kenny. I sure thought about jumping on it. I don't know why I didn't think of messing with the carb sooner. For some reason, I thought something with the clutch was too tight. Then it finally clicked when I was cutting. It sure helped that thing out. For the price I think it's just fine. Time will tell how long it will last.
Thanks for stopping by sir.
Still a tad slow to respond
Hey Mr Joe. Yes it is. I need to tweak on it a little more
with a lil tweaking i think you'll have a great little saw...thumbs up !!
Thank you Gary. I think so. It sure made it alot better after I tweeked on it. Still needs a little love and I'll swap chains to a non safety chain and see how it likes it
I live in the suburbs unfortunately. I had 1 25ft walnut tree to cut. I have 9 chainsaws now, I can't stop buying them. At least you can use them. :D
I think most people once they get one chainsaw they have an urge to own many chainsaw's
I like your vid… I have the same saw. It keeps running running and running…. I tuned the carb as well. Once tuned that thing really got er done…. It woke up the beast. I love the little turd… it cut a lot of wood for me
Hey thanks for watching Earl. SO far this thing has been extremely handy. It stays on my sxs all the time. It helped a ton after tuning.
Great video Mike! I bought myself a top handled Echo saw a few months ago and haven’t used it yet. After watching your video I have the itch to go use it;)! Gotta say between you and Travis showing us these Amazon saws I’m more impressed with of they are holding up! 🤔 Stay Safe, Keep Cuttin!🪵🪵🪵🪵
Hey Chad thanks for stopping by. I bet that echo rips real good they make a great saw.
This thing was very doggish until I adjusted the carb and that helped.
So far it's working out great as a small light weight saw to keep on my Polaris ranger.
Stay safe
Definitely a better unboxing than my Pinkway, Mike! Welcome to the Purple Monster family. Glad your cutie top handle came with a primer bulb as my 63cc did not. And I don't think my bar came with an oiler hole, huh odd. Great episode, keep cuttin'!
Thank you, Mr Travis. So far it's working well. Still has some tweaking needed, and it'll be good to go. I'm curious to see what the cylinder looks like after a doz tanks of 40:1
Followed you over from Brock's Rockhill Farms cameo. Great job tuning his chainsaws. Good luck YouTubing!
Thank you smiskly. Those saws where fun to tinker with. Thank you for subscribing.
Bagus warna nya bro
Thank you
Saw you over on rockhill, figured i would give you a sub.
Thank you Lone Wolf. I really appreciate it and hope you find some of my content informative
I think the bolt is an extra chain tightener.
Ah great to know. Thanks Travis
💜💜
If it was on sale and I had the money I'd be tempted to buy one inspite of the name and color. I'd bet the Nylon guides are too thick and are bogging it down.
But I already bought the G111, a clone of the Stihl Ms200t, that I'm sure is a better saw if it ever gets here. Lol I lack patience in case you couldn't guess. 🤣
I really want a g111. I bet they are a great saw. Im not sure if i would by this saw again. it was cheap when i bought it. i do like the size of it and its hand staying on the ranger all the time.
Bring it up deer season. We will try it out on some thorny locust
Hey Mr Tim, As long as its still running it will be there. It is already mounted to the ranger in its own little holder.
It was adjust with 25:1 it sure you need to tune the carburator to run 40:1. I use my first one 3 years at 25;1 and it run perfect when i switch to 40:1 i had to tune carb now it work the same than when i use 25:1 with 40:1
I do need to tune on this. I think it woukd help it out a ton
The Nylon guides might be too thick.
Thank you. I havent checked those but i will. its reall boggy when its cold once its warmed up it does fine.
Thanks for stopping by and commenting
How's this chainsaw holding up?
I don't think I would buy it again. It does ok once it's warmed up but still something off when your 1st start it
Where can you get parts for this little saw?
I'm not sure some hard parts you can. Air filter, carb, spark plug, and fuel lines can be matched up with other models. If it was anything major I'm not sure how to find them. I figured this was a throw away saw.
@@TheRustyGarageandHomestead Yea you could by 3 for the cost of most brands.
I agree.
This is not the cheapest top handle chainsaw on Amazon,it is cheap yes but not the cheapest. This thing looks like so many others like it.Sounds like it is about to grenade at any moment.
Hey Scott thanks for commenting.
I understand it's is not the cheapest. When I bought it it was right at $100 for it. It has went up in price. I did say in the video it's one of the cheapest. There are several around the same price range on Amazon currently.
Must be the audio in the video. Since this video I have ran about 8 tanks of gas through it and it seems to be doing ok. Still a little doggish when you 1st hit the trigger but so far it's hanging in there.
I thought Travis was a little dogish, not talking about his carburetor, I little slow to move, so how’s it going now after the video, sounded better after the adjustment,👍🚜🪵🔥🏰🇨🇦🇱🇷
Hey Len, I think most of these Chinese saw are gonna require a little tuning out of the box. This thing was awful at 1st.
This one is a ton better now. I need to tweak on it a little more but overall as long as it lasts I think it'll be a nice addition to the polaris ranger. Only time will tell on the longevity of it. Thanks for watching Mr Len
@Lens-KeepingBusy, yeah I need to adjust mine. Good call, Len!
