That's actually what makes some of the old interviews from bands like Megadeth, Pantera and even Metallica were fun back then. They could sounds really arrogant but it makes those interviews fun when you watch it again today.😄 Dave seems like he's loaded again around that time. He also has said in various interviews that in 90s the band management tend to forced them to tour with bands they didnt like or playing on some TV shows which didnt actually fit them in first place. He clearly tries to butcher his own vocal intentionally .
Why would he deliberately butcher his own live vocal performance? Dave's not that sort of guy; he may have deliberately butchered some of his interviews for attention, but he would never compromise the integrity of his music.
That's really a pure gem. I'm a big fan of Youthanasia era and to see the whole TV show full of 1995 Megadeth is pure awesomeness to me. Thanks for uploading \m/
God, I wish we still had awesome music shows like this. Now all we have are shitty Top 40 countdowns in which there are usually like only 2-3 artists I like.
10:00 Interesting time capsule moment here. The pop punk being talked about is mostly Green Day since this was filmed summer of 1995 and Dookie hit 8x Platinum at that point which is pretty insane for sales. To put that into perspective Green Day sold more albums in 1 year than Megadeth's entire catalog combined at that point. Also Dave was pretty far off on his pop punk prediction of it varnishing....1995 was just the beginning of it. Also Green Day is a stadium act at this point which I can't even believe myself.
I completely forgot, it was a huge surprise once I had a memory flood of this show and starting searching for footage on here. I used to watch pretty much every episode of Sound FX, and I watch Survivor now, so I was surprised I didn't remember this.
Lol! This was awesome. Peak Megadeth right here, with.every bandmember on fire. They all look so relaxed, happy and confident. Mustaine on vocals, despite being relaxed, happy and confident, is still poor. Lol!
Well, Dave really could never sing, or scream as far as I'm concerned. He's always sounded more like a wailer, or yelper, or whiner,...not that its bad. It's just the way his voice sounds. I wouldn't expect any powerful screams with control and consistency from him, as much as I wouldn't expect a perfect note most times. It is what it is, as they say. I can't really sing very well either, but I do my best.
OMG Dave is amazing in this clip. Sarcastic, arrogant, inappropriate and spiteful.. as he should be! Not to mention his voice

Agreed, Youthanasia is classic. This album stood out by far, to me.
Fuckin A. This is pure gold. Youthanasia changed my life. I'll always be grateful to Dave, David, Nick and Marty. Forever.

I had almost forgotten where Jeff Probst got his start...

Jeff Probst originally hosted a show called Back chat. Matt Orlando and Karyn did Sound Fx.

I'm a big Megadeth fan and have been for many years, but Mustaine's live vocals are absolutely woeful here.
Hi, do you have the episode where a banc called Ivy played???
What marshalls are those. jcm900, jcm2000 (dsl)?
just props. Megadeth used CAE/Custom Audio Electronics 3+ Preamp with a VHT2150 power amps at that time.
WHOS THE GROUPIE WITH THE FANNY PACK?? LOL
дейву блин тут не раз на уши наступили лучше бы не пел(
ouch, the singing, i like megadeth,, but the singing, it's pure shit.

Sounds like Billy Corgan kinda. Even if they always hit the right notes, it still can sound dissonant.
Sometimes he's a bit flat on the note. but please this is gold.
Awful performance. And wtf is he barefoot?lol
Are you out of your mind, pal???
