    The gooseneck precision spout is designed to enable you to pour water slowly and steadily with ease. This is the key to balanced pour over coffee. A counterweight is situated in the handle that moves the centre of mass towards the back of your hand, adding additional control and comfort, even when kettle is completely full.
    A thermometer sits atop the kettles lid and highlights the ideal coffee brewing temperature range of 90 to 96 degrees so you know when your water is ready to brew - no guessing required.
    The stainless steel body can hold 1 Litre of water and features a stunning matte black finish. The thermometer is attached to the stainless steel lid by a BPA-free polypropylene holder. The kettle is compatible with gas, electric, and most induction stoves (induction top must be compatible with 304 grade stainless steel).
    Available in 600ml & 1L capacities.

    I bought a Silverstone Gooseneck Kettle specifically for use on gas stove. I found it only held 20 ozs of water, and when the water started to heat the water would spirt out the goose neck spout. I will go for The Fellow Kettle now.

    Great kettles. I bought one in March and have used it every day since. It’s comfortable and controllable, and looks to be holding up well to use on my gas stove.

    Such a good kettle, would love if they brought out a digital thermometer upgrade!!

    Thanks for this video. It should be perfect for yerba mate as the tempreture (varies between brands) needs to be close and the pour accurate. Cheers

    I love my Fellows Stagg t3a kette. Should I be worried if the black enamel is coming off?

    Such a cool kettle! I have a Starbucks pouring kettle and a separate thermometer to check heat. If I would upgrade it would be to the fellow stagg EKG (electric)

      That's a worthy upgrade! The EKG is my favorite Kettle 😀

    I am surprised no one is concerned about burning their hands because of the holes at the lid. Don't you think it is dangerous? If you accidentally touch the lid while pouring there is steam of 96-90 celcius water coming right at your fingers?

    How does the white one hold up over time? Does it have discoloring overtime?

    • @AlternativeBrewing
      @AlternativeBrewing  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I've not heard of any discolouration at all to be honest - no staining either - but this maybe because staining is more preventable. I'm only aware of the wearing of the paint on the bottom of the kettle over time when it comes in to contact with steel cooktops over and over again

    How important is an constant / exact water temperature for Hario V60? So I should buy the electric Fellow or is the stove top Fellow absolutely fine for one coffee regarding the temperature?

    • @AlternativeBrewing
      @AlternativeBrewing  3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      The EGK and any of the electric kettle with Gooseneck Spout are game changers if other things are already equated for. A steady temperature when brewing coffee is important but not as a priority or critical to extraction as much as having a good grinder, beans and method. Temperature in general plays a huge role in extraction however. Electric kettles will slowly decrease in temperature once taken off the base whilst using them - but being able to target a specific temperature exactly to +\- 1ºc and reach it again very quickly if need be is another step in controlling the brewing parameters and even being able to reproduce a similar result.

    Is the 0.6L kettle also suitable for gas stovetop and induction or only for electric stove? Thank you.

    • @AlternativeBrewing
      @AlternativeBrewing  3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Hi Deborah, the 0.60L is not suitable for induction no. It's base is too small for the cooktop to register it.

      I was using a 2100w induction stovetop - like 2:30mins to full boil with 1 litre of water
