Gotta love Toby Keith, and love this song.
I can relate to this song. I loved my wife of 29 years and miss her terribly since she passed away but she had the bad habit of telling me everything that was happening at her job for 30 to 45 minutes every night. She never asked, "How was your day". even when I tried to tell her about my day it was like talking to someone with the attention span of a toddler. She didn't even try to hide her disinterest. It made me stop trying after a while. Please don't misunderstand, I loved her with everything in me. That's why it hurt so much.
Love to Toby Keith, one of the greats for sure! I suggest anytime you do a TK song, always opt for the official video - they are usually hilarious! He’s a fabulous voice and a great showman as well. And prayers to TK for healing, we need him on this planet! ♥️

I agree the video is funny watch it on your own time you will for sure love it. And also I know someone like who you are talking about that only calls me to talk about her. And if I try to say anything about me the conversation always gets back on her cause she always wants to talk about herself only and thinks I want to hear it all the time and it gets old fast especially when it's the same thing every time.

Hysterical! As usual TK nailed it. It's a self obsessed culture. Ever notice when you're talking to a person and you know, when you're talking; instead of listening to "you" they're thinking of what they want to say next? Can only lead to miscommunication and hurt feelings.

You should ALWAYS find the original videos for Toby Keiths music. Noone does it better. You missed a cute video. He plays a businessman, a cop, a biker, a surgeon & a pimp, with women yakking nonstop in his ear, all about herself. LOL Funny. Toby has some hilarious songs & videos, like 'Trailerhood' or 'How do you like me now? for example. You must check out his song 'Courtesy of the red, white & blue. the angry American'. The original video is amazing. he wrote the song after 9/11 for the troops, with no intentions of recording it. One of the commanders talked him into recording it, but watching him perform it live for the troops is awesome. to see Toby also has an amazing video with Willie Nelson for their duet 'Beer for my horses'. It's like a made for tv movie. Very fun.
You really should watch “Should’ve been a Cowboy”. It launched his career and was his first big hit. If for no other reason just to see his hair.

You should check out his recent performance at the People Choice Award 2023, he sings his Don’t Let The Old Man In. He was diagnosed with cancer and has really been battling for his life.

He was at my OU Sooners football game last Saturday. He's a big OU fan.
I'm saddened that's he's having to battle cancer and looks very frail and skinny, but he happy he isn't letting it slow him down. He's still getting around and supporting his team.

You kids DO have to watch the video. But maybe it's better you started off with the audio. Toby was an incredible songwriter, vocalist and musician. And wrote about stuff going on. This song showed all of that. Always like your reactions. You must be great folks to hang out with.

I've had a bf for about 20 yrs now... the first 10 yrs were great... even though most everything was her.. she was a Nascar Driver.. it still kinda balanced out in the off season.. 9 yrs ago she was in a motorcycle accident that almost killed her.. it did kill her boyfriend. She has MS and the accident made things worse.. she lost sight in her right eye.. she was in a wheel chair for over a year... but I was there for her.. I would take her out 2 x a week at least.. even though I was raising 5 children at the time... I was there..ever since that accident... she doesn't want to hear what's going on in my life... it's all ALL about her.. I love her but I've distanced myself... I had to.

I am dealing with something similar right now. She has no car. She only calls when she wants something. And if I say "maybe", it means yes to her. Then she gets mad when I say, it was maybe and since you have blown up my phone all day, I have changed my answer. No. But she always calls back in a month or two. :(
