He had such funny videos that told a story with the lyrics and videos. But then he could also do serious songs too. One of my all time favorite country music singers. I've been listening to his music over 30 years and when he passed it hit hard almost like a family member had died. So sad I thought he was going to beat the stomach cancer. RIP Big Dog.
His tribute song to his friend Wayman Tisdale " crying for me" hits harder after Toby's passing

I was praying he'd beat it too. I was SO Sure his inner strength would have helped him win the battle. The so called power of prayer by his fans should have assured that, but the Higher Power had other plans. He will be missed. 😢 💔🎸💔
@@CuzKatieSaysSo I think he and his family knew, I watched a interview he gave to one of our TV news stations in Oklahoma City just a week or so before he passed and he didn't look good, I don't know if the interview is on TH-cam but it was News 9 CBS OKC

Toby sure was a master at telling a humorous story and putting it to great music! We are so much richer for having had Toby Keith in our lives, and his patriotism should be appreciated and celebrated and honored for all time.
His soul will bring a whole new dimension to Heaven. His mischievousness will bring the fun!

Toby has a ton of these funny songs/videos... like 'How do you like me now?', 'I wanna talk about me', 'Who's your daddy?', 'I love this bar' or 'Red solo cup' to name a few. He has a great duet with Willie Nelson called 'Beer for my horses' & it's like a movie. So fun! Also, back in 2018 he was golfing with Clint Eastwood & Clint was working on his movie 'The Mule'. Toby asked how he keeps going & Clint said, I get up every day & go outside & I don't let the old man in. Toby went home & wrote the song 'Don't let the old man in' & gave it to Clint. Then Clint used it in that movie. Then in September 2023, Toby sang it as he was receiving the 'People's Choice Country Icon Award'. He was thin & frail & it was hard to watch but the words fit perfectly for where he was in life. Check it out & bring tissues. Then, his friend Cletus T, Judd did a tribute to Toby that is amazing. He used the music from 'Don't let the old man in' & changed the lyrics, Check out Toby's first, then Cletus's. You won't be sorry.

When you go from this, to Look at Me Now, I want to talk about Me, Red Solo Cup .... and then you go to American Soldier, Courtesy of the Red/White/Blue and everything in between, it is unbelievable what this man has done for the people and soldiers. RIP Toby. Will never forget when you came to Canada and you sang Canadian Soldier (instead of American Soldier), we all went nuts, when you flipped your guitar and had the Canadian flag on the backside. What a night.

Toby was one of the greatest country artists to ever live! He gave us so many great songs. "Red Solo Cup" was actually written on a dare after he boasted about being able to write a song about anything. He was a great entertainer, and a true patriotic American that loved and respected the military. RIP Toby! You are truly missed!

Toby did not write this, if you check the lyrics it shows Brad Warren / Brett Warren / Jim Beavers / Brett Beavers as the writers. This story about the dare is true but it was one of the writers it happened to.

We played this song at my fiance's dad's funeral he was a huge Toby fan. No one was expecting this as a song choice. But got some smiles out of it. R.I.P. Toby you are loved and missed. Thanks for all you've given us.

He even paid for 2 cancer centers for children and their parents to stay for free during cancer treatments because one of his band members daughter was batteling cancer. He did alot behind the seens. He definitely supported the troops as well.
