As a sonic main I say this with all do respect, Sonic can be a boring character to play as/watch in smash. Thats why I wanna get better with him bc I think I'm 8/10 good with him.
I’m late to this but the main problem is most Sonics just want to camp which makes things really boring. Personally, no matter what character I’m playing, I’m CONSTANTLY rushing in and being as aggressive as possible. Probably not the best strategy, but my god there’s nothing funner than charging head first towards a kazuya with Kirby and beating the shit out of them without them expecting. Sonic has that ability, since he’s literally the fastest. Literally everything in this video went over my head but ima try lol
There is also a biass towards Sonic even if you play agressive and do cool stuff the average kid of the community likes to repeat what they hear on twitter, if they see two top players spread that Mario should be banned they will embrace that and repeat it until getting red
Aggressive Sonic is actually pretty entertaining to watch, and I think it’s fun to play as “the reactor” while playing as Sonic, since you have a lot of options to choose from
