i wish our systems were created in a way where we could still maintain the hormonal levels we have during fertility whilst in menopause, just without being able to conceive. the current design plan is pretty harsh

I totally agree! Why can't the ovaries still produce a lower level of estrogen to keep menopause fromm HELL at bay

I never want to frighten you. I want to empower you.
The purpose of a mammogram is to see things that you cannot feel. And the goal is to see them when they are still small and curable. Some cancers are easier to feel, others are easier to see.
So, your self breast exam and your mammograms go hand-in-hand for finding breast cancer early.
The trade-offs to consider with mammograms are simple:
      • The more frequently you get a mammogram:
o The more false alarms you’ll have
o The earlier you’ll diagnose breast cancer
      • The less frequently you get a man=mammogram:
o The fewer false alarms you’ll have
o The later you’ll diagnose breast cancer

    Wonderful!
Could you create a tutorial on how birth control works to prevent pregnancy?

I love my book and I especially love the nitty gritty you give in your youtube videos!
This was so interesting and I was listening like (in the commercial) when EF Hutton would speak. Lol
Love my continued education through Menopause University and grateful for the consultations I can have…anytime I want/need one. Until next week…💕💕

Lovely lady. Not being unkind here at all, but I've followed you for many years. Have you just had a facelift? I've had one and so I recognise the tightness, etc. You may not be willing to share but it does look good.

Hi Dr Taylor, is it true that there can be a period without ovulation? I've heard a doctor say that having periods does not necessarily meaning we are ovulating. I've never quite understood this. Sorry for my ignorance. I should have learned this years ago but it's only now that I am getting a proper education on these issues: it is only now, with your content, that I am learning about how our bodies work! Have a lovely weekend

Yes, you can have bleeding in the form of a period without ovulating.

A little late, but i showed up! It would have been nice to have kept my ovaries, but PCOS, age, and risk of getting new monster cysts, they went with the She Shed at 50. The pathology report showed one ovary with several small to medium size cysts, and the other with one medium only. Happily said take em both and then wait to see how surgical menopause treated me....she was a BITCH to me and i was prepared to beg for estradiol replacement
