This is awesome Neil! You know how much I love the opossum! I've had a trail camera on my "possum hole" for over three years now. Different possums come and go, along with all the other visitors to the hole. I use a variety of physical characters such as ear markings, dark tail band length, scars, fur patterns and sex to identify and track individuals over time. The opossum is such an interesting but underappreciated animal. Thanks for showing some opossum appreciation with your video!
Awesome video. I'm so sorry you missed your shot of the bobcat. I literally cringed when you said your camera didn't fire and the batteries were dead. I felt your pain just watching you get through this part of the video. Can't wait to see part 2. Hopefully, the bobcat comes back. Thanks for taking us along on the journey.
Great work Neil, I can relate to everything on the video. There are lots of possum images everytime I check my camera traps. Have not come across a den though. Also have a bobcat that comes through our property every so often and have captured a few images but no "wall hanger" - yet.
I feel your pain missing that bobcat shot. My entire year has been full of those near misses. Been targeting wolves with my camera traps and have had them in front of my cameras 4 times but been foiled by dead batteries.
Hi Neil, was the Bobcat that you actually got an image of, a youngster? I know nothing of Bobcats (I live in Wales) but I kind of got the feeling that one was a young cat.
Something always happens ...this is why wildlife photography is so difficult .... I packed everything up one day and got to the set, opened everything and voila !!! forgot the camera at home :( , you will do it next time and it will work fine!!!
Trials and tribulations of wildlife photography, Keep it up, we have all been there, Enjoying your videos
I was glad to see you return to this location! But then to have the bobcat show up, WOW!
Looking forward to seeing more of your videos.
Well…darn! But you still got some outstanding shots!
